    Hello all.

RACHEL - SO sorry to hear about your Mum. I've been in your situation and it's dreadful, I feel for you. What got me through was that I had a beautiful daughter, 3 months old and for the 2 months I actually had with my lovely Mum I tried to concentrate on making Mum think I was fine and making sure she spent as much time as possible with her grand daughter. Although it's many years ago now (32 actually) when I read your post I had a sudden urge to cry - it never leaves you if you're as close as I was to my Mum and obviously as close as you are to yours.

As for the drinking - so what if you had a few!!!! I think your entitled, it's quite understandable. Now you've had a little time to mull things over you can think a little more clearly and realise what's best to be done for you, your Mum and your lovely family.

I send you the biggest hug you can imagine. Take good care of yourself, keep well for everyones sake. xx

Rachelww1 - I know what you are going through as I lost both my mum and dad to cancer in 2003. Please try and take good care of yourself, I know this is hard when you are worrying about your mum and you just want to try and blot it all out by drinking. Try and concentrate on having good times with your mum and remember we are all here if you need anyone to talk to.

    Hugs to you

Morning all. I have been 'absent' for a few days, and pretty much absent from SW too. Found out on Weds that my mums cancer is terminal, and she only has months rather than years left.

So sorry to hear your sad news Rachel, I really don't know what to say but my thoughts are with you. Take care of yourself and try to enjoy the time you have with your mum.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Well done losers :T & welcome to the newbies :wave:hugs to those in need.

I feel a 'bit' better today [until the painkillers wear off :(] have WI with 1lb gain. Not unexpected but less than it should have been what with all I've eaten this week [Easter egg, 2x chinese AND half a tub belgian choc ice cream ] hubby went to mr ts last night and came back with said ice cream [to cheer me up :o] and 3 easter eggs as they were half price. Mine is still in box and will be broken up along with the 3 bars of choc that are inside and put in freezer. Hubby has been wonderful, making my food even if its not what I would have normally but he just doesn't do the practical stuff. We would be knee high in dog hair and he might just notice so this morning I have hoovered and ironed all his shirts and that wore me out so have had couple hours sleep to recover :o.

Am off to 'steam' myself as face feels 'full' again. By the end of this I should be well and truly cooked :rotfl:

So sorry to hear about your ever so sad news Rachel, why is life so cruel!! We all have to go one day I know that, but knowing it never makes it any easier when you are losing or have lost a loved one, hugs to you hun (((((hugs)))))

Take it easy I hope you start to feel better soon, have you any antibiotics for it? I had sinusitis a few years ago, the doc told me that usually when you get it, you tend to have bouts of it over and over after a cold or flu, but I have to say, I have never had it since TOUCH WOOD! Hope you feel better soon

Well done on the losses folks, magnolia how on earth have you lost so much in 16 weeks, omg I am not jealous at all!!!

Re the noodles, Im wondering now if a pack of normal chicken flavour super noodles are 10 syns and low fat are 0 syns, maybe so many of them syns are for the flavouring and some our for this palm oil added to the noodles, surely it can't be 10 syns for a bit of palm oil, what do you all think???

Also, what dried noodles are free then, cos this has baffled me now, and I don't know if I have used all my syns up for the day, and I want my snackajacks boohoo

You're right, the noodles alone won't add 10 syns, but I don't know how many you should count.

If you're looking for syn free dried noodles you need to be buying ones like this - http://www.bluedragon.com/products/noodles.aspx or http://www.sharwoods.com/chinese/products/sharwoods-medium-egg-noodles.cfm

You boil them for 3 or 4 mins. Avoid the "straight to wok" noodles, they're packed in oil.

Mags - well done! That is fantastic!!

Rachel - in line with what others have said, I'm very sorry to hear about your mum. Feel free to rant away on here whenever you need to x

    Good afternoon all

Well done on those losses again folks :T
More hugs to those in pain

Rachel -so sorry to hear your news, Spend plenty of time with mum making memories and make sure you are kind to yourself and take care of yourself too - your mum needs to believe that you will be OK .

-Im reporting in with a 2lb loss :jthis week which takes my to 14st and 1/2 an itty bitty lb -so, in order that means I have broken into the last 3st of my goal (11st 1lb is th top of my healthy weight range -so 2st 13.5lbs to go) - AND next week I WILL be into the 13st bracket .
I dragged hubby out for another jog last night and then we were out at "silly o'clock" for a walk around the golf course this morning (got 12,000 steps out of the way ;))

My mission this week is to keep on with the carb curfew *which now is normal eating to me* and to get plenty of SS foods in, a variety of exercise done (hoping for 3 jogs this week) ..and basically to just keep on trucking

We stopped off at the naafi on the way back -where hubby won another €200 -so I have another new perfume :rotfl:
I also picked up several packs of lovely looking "whoopsed" ham, strawberries n raspberries nomnomnom. We did intend to stop off and try out a Chinese/Mongolian restaurant that do buffets -we were going to try a lunch to find out if It would be a nice place for one of our evenings out -but it wasn't open quite -so we came home instead -can't say Im upset as I fancied a ham salad anyway :D

So then my red carb curfew day looks like this :-
    melon
    banana

another banana -half way round the golf course
    ham
    100g new potatoes
    (0.5xB)
    lettuce
    baby leaves -spinache etc
    cucumber
    tomatoes
    onions
    celery
    peppers
    tickled cabbage
    tickled beetroot
    tickled onions

    fibre plus bar (B)
    strawberries
    raspberries
    prawns
    avocado
    (7.5)
    salad *as above*
    activia (2.5)
    melon
    500ml semi (2 x A)
SO thats 2A + 1.5B and 10 syns covered... Im sure I will survive without the other 1/2xB

Im off to plan for the week -Have a lovely evening all and keep up the great work :j
No doubt I will be back later

    Rachel - so sorry :(

Another fine sunny day in cheshire. Bit frustrated again with me ankle. Did a half hour walk this morning and its been complaining ever since! Nothing major, just mild mumblings.

Maman, it was gone 8pm last night when that one was posted! :p And you didn't pick up on the completely deliberate mistake that I was studYing, not studing! :o :rotfl:

Food - yeah its been ok. I have eaten nearly a whole celery! :o Can't get enough of it at the moment - strange!
