Lil_me, commisserations (dunno how to stop spelling that) - are you back on track now?
My day has not been a SW day -but I've just added up the calories and its 1618 so still a good calorie defecit. *cough*. Could it be that I'm now enjoying calorie counting?
Helped a friend out, so she took me out to the pub for lunch. We both had salads :A but you know what pub salads are like for dressings and such!I had chicken tikka which came with french dressing and mint yoghurt, and flipping nice it was too
washed down by a pint of magners *cough*
We were busy for 5 hours, and I worked out for 2hrs 20mins of that I was walking around, so that's got to count as exercise. The ol' ankle is certainly claiming that this is the case
So my day:
Fruit & fibre bar, coffee
Chicken tikka salad & pt cider
Salad leaves, mozzarella, beetroot salad, pogen krisprolls and reduced fat houmus.Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -
Just back from WI reporting a 3lb loss
Im soooooo glad I hid from the easter bunny & did not cave in when confronted by the whoopsied cream buns in Mr A now
Taster session at class was good......my syn free scotch eggs were a big hit(an experiment that went right even by Mr Dizzys standards :T)
I'l post the recipe on the recipe thread tomorrow......cos I'm needing to get my tea now and watch corrie0 -

Well done Dizzy. I am going to get off my **se and get that 30 day shred done tomorrow, (that's if my deficient eyesight will let me). You really deserve that loss. I chickened out of going to class this week. I knew I'd been rubbish and just couldn't face it. I know it was completely the wrong thing to do and I am determined NOT to do it again. I really felt guilty. xx0

I joined SW last week and now I have read some of this thread I realise that I just don't understand it.The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.0

Hi border collie, what don't you understand about the plan? have you spoken with your consultant? if you could let us know what you're struggling with we can help
I have come back from group and lost a whopping 1lb! that's after all the miles I have run this last week as well as hardly eating anything these last few days due to my abscess, so whoever says starving yourself to lose weight works, clearly doesn't know what they are talking about as I lose loads when I stuff my face on this diet lol!!!
Anyway, at least I have lost and it's going in the right directionAug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00 -

Totally agree about the salads. I think there's a move to put calories on all menus and then people will see how bad they are because of being drenched in mayonnaise or dressing. I was trying to buy healthy lunches out at the weekend. I tried a Subway salad pot and it was pretty awful munching my way through all the iceberg plus it tasted a bit stale. I stopped at a M&S on the motorway and all their tasty salads had loads of dressing or mayo. I ended up with a basic side salad plus a tray of chargrilled chicken. Very ordinary and quite expensive. My current favourite is Pret's tuna nicoise where you add your own dressing and I find I can manage with just a couple of teaspoons. Unfortuately they don't have branches everywhere.
WI today and I only put on 1lb (far better than the 3lbs when I was away last week). I've been firmly back on the tank since Tuesday so hopefully will start to redress the damage. Most people in my group seemed to have been attacked by Easter eggs.;)
Good EE day for me:
B: NAS squash, HEB Puffed Wheat, strawberries and banana with HEA milk and teas
L: ham and plate of LO veg, strawberries and yogurtBaked Cod, Sweet Potato wedges, peas, mushrooms and tomatoes
Snacks: more strawberries and more slices of ham0 -
When we went to Harvester last week, I noticed they put the calories of every meal on the menu and it was a real eye opener, not in terms of how many calories are in something, after years of struggling with weight and being on and off diets I am pretty savvy and realistic in terms of that, but, for example, you would think that out of sausages and mash in onion gravy compared with a grilled chicken breast and jacket potato (without butter) that the chicken would be less calories, but not so, the sausage meal was about 100 cals less!
Initially I wasn't too keen on seeing the calorie content of all the meals, but to be honest, I think it's a good thing, people quite often go for salads as they think they are a better option, but I have seen so many times that a chicken caesar salad for instance has more calories than good old fish and chips!Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00
