Its very windy here today, outside and in, really should have stuck to just one tin of beans yesterday :rotfl:0 -
malteser bunny that Mr Dizzy bought me to cheer me up cos he said knew I really wanted to go out yesterday - even though I swore blind I'd rather catch up on the ironing:rotfl:
Wonder how he worked that one out. It was a bit of a thin guise really wasn't it?!
Mmmm pasta bake, my delight! you may have just decided my not so pauper-like evening meal *ponders*. I'm trying to eat less pasta, too! Nah, think I do need to ease off the carbs a bit, so will pop out now for some saladey bits. I quite fancy beetroot salad again, although boy did I have a panic in the bathroom the next day, thought something was seriously wrong, it looked like blood!!:rotfl:
Just back from a walk and man I'm unfit! God knows how I expect to be back at work next week (am expecting docs to sign me back on).Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -

Just stumbled accross this thread by accident! I didn't know such thread exsisted!
Ha ha, yes we do, its great here but you know the old saying, "you don't have to be mad to (post) here but it helps"? Its quite applicable to this thread :rotfl:
I'm going to have to ignore your name though, I'm doing a project on grass (dissertation for uni) and I've wittered on about grass at this lot for quite a few pages now, I can't make them suffer any more from that! Its not even the fun stuff, just the boring animals graze on it stuff. Now there's an idea, should have done the project on the other type, hmmm....
As I say, you don't have to be mad, but it helps! :rotfl:

Me again - just a little gem from my local spar shop. The manager served me, and I had bought an avocado, 75p. At least that's what I thought I was buying. He seemed to think different and put it through as a lime! I politely pointed out the mistake, and he just shrugged and grinned :rotfl: so I now have a 25p "lime" (I did double check to make sure, its definatey an avocado. Had me doubting meself there!) Very MSE that, I was tempted to go and buy more!

I've had a similar experience when checkout person was convinced sugar snaps were garden peas. Not the same saving as you but it all helps.

Unfortunately I'm not a beer drinker but that sounds excellent for those that like that as a tipple.
I bought a Mullerlight toffee yogurt today so I'm going to give freezing it a try.
Today's menu:
B: NAS squash, scrambled egg, tomatoes, mushrooms, HEB toast, HEA milk in teas
L: Marmite & cucumber sandwich, bowl of berries with yogurtSW chicken curry, rice & chips
I made the curry yesterday to use up the LO chicken from my roast. Added extra onion, peppers, mushrooms and spinach to get some superfree in.
Snacks: may have the yogurt and definitely some alcoholic syns0 -
now, i know i am going to get told off here lol...
I lost 4.5lb last week, goodness knows how, it was by far my worst week but my best weight loss it WAS easter lol...go figureWhen i got back from class i got on my scales and i weighed the same as in class...I have never weighed myself at home as its a slippery slope i have fallen into before, i did it as a 1 off because i simply didnt believe the loss.
Anyway, this week class has been changed because of the bank holiday from monday to wednesday and the scales were in the bathroom...yep you guessed it i hopped on (same time as class) and i weight 4lb heavier than i did last wed.
Now i know i havent put on 4lb as i have mainly stuck to plan this week but it has been a tough week. Silly things like oh did the shop and instead of extra lean mince he got normal mince, i drink tonic water a lot at home but he didnt get slimline and i only reaslised yesterday so i have been drinking what i thought was syn free when it actually isnt for the past 5 days(the old lets blame someone else for my weight gain trick!)
So, here i am, saturday afternoon feeling quite disheartened. I dont wanna gain i'm was 0.5lb off my next 1/2 stone. I dont know why i stepped on these blooming scales gggrrr and all i can think is 'oh well, sod it - if i have gained bring on the G&Ts whilst i drown my sorrows...no doubt followed by a tipsy evening that will at some point involve stupid food choices...therefore resulting in a 'well i have blown this week' mentality that escalates (i am sure you all know the feeling ?) so i wont go to class cause i know i have gained, then i eat cause i am annoyed at my cowardly ways... then i am too scared to go ever again...
So, someone PLEASE encourage me, i dont wanna be petted lol, but i really can feel a bandwagon falling off on its way... I dont want it to happen, i wont let it, i just need some encouragement today. I keep telling myself the reason i am doing this...i dont want to be thin - i want to be healthy and choose good foods for me and my family, the weight loss was meant to be a by product but now i fell like its the be all and end all
rant over, if you have read all my drivel then a huge thanks !
ETA the scales are now in the attic, cant throw them away as we use them when going on holiday to weigh the suitcases..just realised this whole post is about something that hasnt yet happened, goodness i sound a right drama queen dont i?0 -

I'm so far loving the diet and can't believe how much you can eat although am getting stuck on what to cook! So looking forward to swapping ideas, I made the chicken tikka massalla out the pink book last night and its so delicious!:)
hey there! I LOVE that curry too! I sometimes (at least twice a week lol) just make chicken on the marinade and have it with a big salad and jacket!
Have you tried the cottage pie..its wonderful, i throw loads of superfree veg in it too and it always does next days lunch (so MSE! lol)
Ahhh and another fave of mine is pasta with chicken breast, frozen peas, chopped green beans and little brocilli florets! takes 5 mins and is fab!
A baby, what a wonderful incentive! My dd is 7 weeks old and it goes so quickly0
