Ok I'm back
.
I've not been doing too badly recently, until Saturday- I've got the books, a lot of the cookery books and an online membership to keep me going. I had planned a flexible day for Saturday gone, it has since turned into a flexible week
So tomorrow is a fresh start - am going to post my food diary as the fact that im not accountable to anyone but myself isn't helping plus constructive criticism and a few pointers would be nice.
Ive read you talking about JM 30 day shred - ive got that and am itching to get back on it again. Unfortunately I had surgery on the nerves in one of my hands 2 weeks ago and have just had stitches out today - got to wait a bit longer I remember the 1st time I did level 1, felt like my lungs were detaching and I couldn't laugh without hurting for days haha :rotfl:

Well, I ve been to WI and it wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be - I stayed the same, which after the past week is a triumph of Nell McAndrew DVDs over food!
It felt like a loss for me as I'd really expected to gain and its actually motivated me to carry on. Thank you to everyone that encouraged me to go even though I didn't want to .
Came home and had Tesco 9p Value pasta with a tbsp of pesto and a bit of parmesan and it felt like the nicest tea ever!
So onwards and upwards (or downwards should that be?!).......
Well done Woof!!!!!
Big welcome to all the newbies and well done to all the losers.

Dizzyk thanks for the warm welcome. I printed off some more information today so getting better idea.
If I had had soya sauce instead of Oyster sauce would nthis have been syn free.
I have had large chicken breast, a potatoe and cauliflour tonight and am completely stuffed, does it matter how big the breast is, although it was healthy apart from the Jerk sauce I really feel I have eaten too much LOL.
I bought Half fat creme freche and extra light mayo, are these good alternative to butter for say adding bit of flavour to potatoe.
I also used Bovril to make gravy this evening so feel like I must be on the right track.
Thanks again for your help.

Hi again
I have another question, if I am good during the week can I use left syns at weekend so that I can have drinks and enjoy Indian Meal etc.
Thanks again

Yes, Rossie, soy sauce is free so that would have saved even more syns.
On the question of saving up syns: I think any 'tweaking' means you wouldn't be following the plan exactly as SW designed it BUT.....
I save almost all my syns for weekends and use them for wine:o and proper gravy on my Sunday roast. I do use a few others for the odd tbsp of cornflour in sauces during the week but that's about it. Doing that, I've lost just 1lb short of 2.5 stone since I started in the last week of September so it can work.
Yorkshirelaura, our consultant always advises having syns. Her reasoning is that if you should reach a plateau then you have something to fall back on to give your weightloss a boost. Also, without syns you might feel deprived and give up! I always use almost all my syns (105) each week but I have noticed 10 a day being advised in the magazine.
 to newbies, this is a lovely thread, welcome.
Question: if mustard powder is syn free, can I make it up with a little water for my ham sandwiches? or add it to gravy? without adding syns.0 -
Good morning everyone
Weigh in tonight, had a good week and stayed on plan, Im slightly over on syns but not by many
Have been EE all week but might go for green today, will post up what I have later as I have no idea yet x0 -
Morning to everyone, welcome to the newbies.
Gosh I have some catching up to do this morning.. one thing i did notice on my quick skim read was the Oaty bar Toffee recommendation so they're in my shopping basket for delivery saturday!! thanks Dizzy - my OH loves flapjacks..
Well my second official weigh in last night and i lost 1.5lbs! :jgot to be careful that doesn't go back on next week though as I tend to weigh less on * week for some reason and then gain it the next. In total thats 5.5lbs in two weeks, not the fastest weight loss but one i'm happy with. A bloke at class has lost 2stone 11 in 6 weeks, thats a bit scarey!
Right i'm off to catch up properly now.. have a good un xMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Morning all. I've caught man-flu from my OH! I had a terrible sore throat last night but its a bit better this morning. Should be WI tonight but we're out for a meal for my Bro's birthday so I'll go to a different class tomorrow.
I'm going green today:
Brekkie - porridge (HEA&B)< banana, apple
Lunch - jacket potato, beans, beetroot salad, melon, grapes, yogurt.
Tea - ??? At the pub!0 -
Morning all  Hello newbies
Well a bit of an all round fail yesterday but today is going to be better. OH and I both feel that the extra HEBs for maintaining is making us bloated, and not hungry for the superfreeDont know how to handle this. I suppose we could have like 4 almonds or whatever the HEBs is! A bit pathetic thou lol
Aaaanyway:

Milk HEA1
Breakfast HEB1 Crunchy Bran ( love this stuff!) banana yog & strawbs
Snack Oatybix bar HEB2
Lunch I have not prepared anything so im going to the caff for jacket pot and beans ( hell a bit of cheese too!)
Dinner Quorn chilli & rice & salad
Snack - cereal or pagens HEb3=, diet cokes and water of course
Syns: not sure yet. Maybe some WW tortillas with the chilli 4 and maybe a dime bar 7.
In farmfoods they have 2x weight-watchers desserts ( frozen type) for 1.00 I got lemon meringues and Chocolate top type . Bargain!
I think maybe it was you Mrs M/ Dizzy who I was talking about shoes size with about a year ago? Well knock me down I think I have lost a shoe size! I went trying on in 2 places this week and my usual size 4 was too big! It looks like im now a size 3 :rotfl: this is very definately a kids size so looking forward to saving myself a few pennies on those
Mrs M hope you had a lovely night out x
I will hunt for these toffee oatybix bars and report back!
Rossie- you dont need to measure the chicken, yes soy sauce is free ( as is thai fish sauce).I like Fromage frais, quark and cottage cheese in jacket potato, as long as these are fat free this is "free" I personally dont ever save my syns, im an instant gratification kinda girl!
hope everyone has a great day.xx
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
