It's not to do with cost. SW only dish out so many a month to the Consultants because they think (rightly or wrongly) that it's not a good thing to become obsessed with writing your food intake down all the time. They say a 'normal' person doesn't do this and therefore we shouldn't need to. Personally, I disagree but that's the official line.confused57 wrote: »Talking about different ways of doing thing - what do your groups do about the shop. Our consultant has asked for help doing the shop cos she was down with her money every week. How can people stoop so low as to take stuff and not put the money in?
Hmm, well, there's always oneIt happened in my group too and it fell to me to pay for the missing stock as it all had to be accounted for.....very annoying it was!
My consultant is very fortunate to have a little army of helpers (myself included). There are 5 or so of us who help set up and run the group each week, 2 pay, 2 weigh, 1 shop. We don't get paid, although our consultant did give us a free week as a xmas present. She did put it through the till as bring a member get a week free thoughI don't mind too much, it does keep me on the straight and narrow.
It's supposed to be an 'honour' to be asked to help but I always think any fool can work for nothing :rotfl:I used to buy my ladies some flowers for their birthday and a little pressie at Christmas because it would have been impossible without them, although I was lucky in having 2 DDs who would come and help out if I was stuck.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

This is good news. I wonder how many other 'unexpected' bonuses we can think of that have come about due to the healthy eating.
I stopped getting heartburn and indigestion (which I used to suffer from daily). I also sleep better when I eat better.
Come on people, lets make a list of reasons to stay on track when the going gets tough.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Oh, my best reason for keeping going is that I feel really nice about treating myself well when I eat good food - you know, it's like a virtuous circle and I begin to believe that yes, 'I'm worth it!'.
I've had a good day today, although a bit jumbled up - everything has been on plan, apart from a tiny slice of my son's pizza (snaffled off the edge of the plate!).
I still can't get over how nice SW chips are, and they are free!
Being vigilant over the weekend as I find it much harder to stay on track when the family is around me.Trying to keep in budget.

Well done losers & STS [its better than a gain IMO] :T hugs to those in need.
I am sooooo glad its the end of term, am completely shattered have already been asleep since getting home and will no doubt be falling asleep for several days to come [past experience].
Now the next 2 weeks can go either way, I'll either eat rubbish due to not having a routine or will stick to plan. Heres hoping its sticking to plan.
Been on plan today [1st time this week I think]
B - weetabix milk [a] coffee
L - 2x wm rolls [bs], lemon curd [3], tom, cous cous frittas, crisps [5], melon, pineapple, activia.
T - 2x jacket spuds, beans, cheese [a], bbq sauce [1]
Snacks - carrot. pineapple, melon, onken, meringue [2.5]
Syns - 11.5
We had easter egg hunt today and instead of the small eggs the kids got proper eggs in boxes from Mr T. When they had their offer buy 1 get 2 free the PTA bought loads. Quite a few kids were on holiday so the staff got a egg each too [chunky kitkat for my sondon't have to buy one now :rotfl:].
Still got the damn fruit flies even though I have no fruit left outside the fridge. Even put my sack of onions outside in porch. Found some in the cupboard too . Got the fly spray out now.......Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

One of the things that's surprised me is that over time I've stopped craving the fatty sugary food so much and now I look for low syn snacks in the first instance.
My normal lunch at work used to be 7 mini sausage rolls, a packet of crisps and a bar of dairy milk. Then I'd have a fairly healthy dinner, but it was usually accompanied by garlic bread of some sort. Take aways were fairly common (partly 'cause I got paid to eat them) but I never took much persuasion. Then there was some sort of dessert too. My OH and I would easily eat a whole chocolate cake each week.
Oh how things have changedbad food really is a treat now, and I'll be honest that I do feel a little sick if I indulge too much.

Well my food today has gone to pot!
Nothing like I'd planned to eat....
Breakfast - banana
Lunch - kiwi, grapes, summer berries in fromage frais, Hifi bar (B choice)
Dinner - smash with cheese (A choice), pickled onions (I know!)
Extras - packet of skips, glass of wine, few of OH's chips.:o 15 ish syns:(
On the positive side I have done a 20 min walk, 30 min hardcore exercise DVD, 30 min walk and a 10 min walk. So I'm shattered and a bit fed up with the food rubbish.Oh well, tomorrow is another day....0 -
