I just break up my meals -so red for brekkie, green for lunch and blue for dinner -then pink for syns and bold black for hex -Im a bit of a list addict :rotfl:
ooh I pre-ordered the wii zumba and it arrived the other day -I had one bash and Oh Lordy -I looked like bambi on ice -with her legs tied together ,,and thats being generous... I am rather "rhythmically challenged
I will try again over the weekend -but I don't think its going to be one of my faves
-I prefer my shred, but I hope zumba grows on me....

Different consultants do different things. At my group if you want a food diary you have to stay to image therapy and ask for one there. I think it's a bit OTT to be honest.Skintslimmer wrote: »By the way, when I was grating my carrots for the beetroot salad I remembered a top tip from the old style board, which was to add grated carrot to mince dishes to bulk it out. I did this for my last bolognese and it worked really well! I'll do it every time now as it doesn't change the taste at all.0 -
Evening - posts today have reminded me I had the Shred dvd for my birthday in Feb and have yet to use it:o Will have time over Easter - might even take it on holiday with me?
I've been a bit off plan with having a wisdom tooth removed - meant a week of eating soft cold food so ate loads of soya yoghurts, soya milkshakes, wheetabix and cheesy mashed potatoes and tinned spaghetti - only food I could cope with. Had a week of no salad/fruit/vege which I really missed.
What with work and being ill I did not get to group either but have kept in touch with my consultant and had the weeks as shift worker ones so I don't have to pay. Not been for weigh in for 3 weeks!Going next Thursday, reckon going on my scales here I've stayed the same.
Am transfering my membership from village group to the club by work which is run by the area manager and from next week there are 4pm/5.30pm/7.30pm classes so should get to one weekly.
Had been feeling a bit off track but with the sunny weather and being back to eating huge salads and stir frys etc I'm feeling positive about it all again:T
Have re read my book and am having the 1/3 superfree again.
Wont mention the handmade vegan rolos that arrived today - my easter treat - have decided to take them to my friends 30th tomorrow and share them - that way I only have 1 or 2.
Going to have to be a flexi eve tomorrow as Mexican restaurant for friends 30th do that does not offer any lower fat options and portions are huge, I'll be in control as will only have a main and will not have sour cream etc...will still be a high syn meal.
Not sure how I'll be on holiday in a week - but we are self catering and I will be doing plenty of walking and there is a gym nearby that has zumba classes and the SW meeting is right nearby so might go for weigh in.
Hope everyones ok on here?Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

I think its OTT as well - surely not much cost involved. Our consultant just puts them on the side and people can help themselves.0

Talking about different ways of doing thing - what do your groups do about the shop. Our consultant has asked for help doing the shop cos she was down with her money every week. How can people stoop so low as to take stuff and not put the money in?0

when I do bolognese I always finely dice or grate carrots into it, aswell as celery & onion. It helps with the flavour & does bulk the volume of the dish out a heck of a lot too0 -

My consultant is very fortunate to have a little army of helpers (myself included). There are 5 or so of us who help set up and run the group each week, 2 pay, 2 weigh, 1 shop. We don't get paid, although our consultant did give us a free week as a xmas present. She did put it through the till as bring a member get a week free thoughI don't mind too much, it does keep me on the straight and narrow.

you have had it for 2 months and still dont feel better?
oh no - i have had this for 3 weeks now and was hoping it would be going soon!!
must admit i have been eating quite badly since being ill - just dont feel like cooking or making any effort when my head is spinning!!
but hopefully i havent done too much damamge in the last few weeks and as i start feeling better i am sure i will eat better too
h007 - I've actually had it for almost 4 months  but wasn't diagnosed til 2months ago cos I felt silly about going to the doctor saying 'I feel dizzy when I put my head to the left'! :rotfl:. I only went when the nausea got too much to bear. Dr told me it normally lasts 4-6wks but I've just been unfortunate to have had it last so much longerI'm feeling better slowly, having good and bad days now as opposed to just bad days. This week (mon-fri) I have had 4 good days
It's a horrible illness, hope yours goes soon xx
