Morning all! Well i survived my hen weekend but I'm very tired. Had lots of naughty food and drank quite a bit but it could certainly have been worse!! ANd I had a good old boogie so that'll have burnt a bit off!! I was back on plan from getting home at lunchtime yesterday too!!! That's a miracle for me!

I'm feeling a bit yuk at the minute though. I have a patch of really sore skin on my back only it doesn't look sore and its not swollen, it just hurts!!! It's been like it a week now and is no better so I've booked a doc's appointment but I can't get one till Thursday and that's saying I would have one with any doctor, not waiting for a specific one!!! It even hurts when my clothes brush against it as I move but doesn't really hurt much if I press harder on it!!

    Anyway, I'm going green today:

    Brekkie - porridge (HEA&B)
Lunch - jacket potato, beans, 1 laughing cow extra light (part HEA, rest will be milk in teas), salad, salad cream (1), yogurt
Tea - ? at mum's so will be sw friendly!
    Snacks - plums and grapes.

Yup, I've had an "easygoing" week as I am on a week's leave - and I have three gigantic zits on my chin. I'm 63 for gawdsake, I shouldnt have spots! :rotfl: serves me right though.

:rotfl::rotfl:I always say that when I get spots.......I'm 61 and thought I was the only 'mature lady' to get spots :rotfl::rotfl:

I'm told that putting Milk of Magnesia on the spot overnight helps, it's a little late for Annaangeluk but maybe worth remembering for future use.

Not sure if I'm just in a crabby mood cos have just finished my three night shifts and got loads to do today, so can't go to bed til this afternoon.

I did have planned a nice dinner of mackeral fillet, cous cous and bean salad with mixed salad leaves, but have just seen that my OH completely demolished most of it when he got in from the pub p**sed on Friday night while I was at work.

There was enough there for today and tomorrow until I had the next lot of food shopping delivered (back on nights tomorrow for 3). Now have to go shopping today.

I've avoided the cakes and biscuits at work all night and thank god there's none in the house or else I'd be scoffing them down in a sulk right now.

Please someone tell my to just go and eat my stupid porridge and blueberries and stop being such a crabster!

Big hug to Skintslimmer and anyone else who's finding it hard at the moment. Human beings (especially women) have an infinite capacity to feel guilt over every little thing, but do try to be kind to yourself. You wouldn't call your friend names for failing to follow her 'diet' for a day or two, why do it to yourself?

Write down all your reasons for wanting to lose weight, pin it on the fridge along with anything else that helps to inspire you and stand and read it every time you're tempted into the fridge for goodies.

Personally I can't have anything in the house that tempts me or I know for a fact that there'll come a time when I will eat it. My answer to that is to not buy it.....rough on everyone else I guess but that's just tough, it's not good for them either (well that's my reasoning).

Well done to all the losers once again :T

MRSMCAWBER, you've been so single-minded in the last year or so and have (as far as I'm aware) lost every single week. It's incredibly unusual to be able to stick to it for so long without once going off the rails. I do think the secret, in part, is that you've got a real interest in finding and making new and interesting recipes which keep the taste buds satisfied, but it would perhaps be very helpful for some of us if you could give us your story. Have you always been overweight? What prompted you towards SW as opposed to WW for instance? Do your friends and family in the UK know how well you've done or are you going to surprise them?

Ha ha thanks, I've eaten it and it wasn't really stupid, is quite nice actually.

I'd not actually eaten anything since 10.30pm last night so I shall blame that for sending him moaning text about silly cous cous!

In his defense, he thought I wouldn't notice!

One of the things I find really hard is getting my meals organised to accomodate my shifts. I work long days and nights and what was happening before is if I didn't take stuff to work with me, I'd end up going down to the shop and getting a sandwich and crisps, feeling hungry about an hour later and dipping into chocs/biscuits.

It can be really erratic when I get my break, starting at 7am I might not get my 15 mins for 'breakfast' until 11.30-12pm then main break at 4-5pm, or sometimes not at all and just a quick run away to cry in the toilet when it's horribly manic. Those days are really hard to not just eat rubbish when I get the chance!

They've now made a stupid rule that we can't even have a drink (no bottle of water even) unless it's on a break or can get away off the main unit for 5 mins. Not always possible if there is noone to relieve you. Saturday night I had a cup of tea and half a can of diet coke in 12 1/2 hours. At least there's no chocolate on the desk anymore though, it's amazing how many you end up eating in one shift if you have one every time you have to go past, even if it's only once an hour that's a lot of syns!

Glad you ended up eating your stupid porridge and blueberries ;) Could be worse, you could live in my house: i've just used the last of my milk (watered down!) with weetabix, and literally unless I want to munch on dried herbs and green beans, have nothing else to eat until 4-6pm when MrT arrives :rotfl: Hope he arrives at 4 on the dot ;)

Thanks, and yes of course I beat myself up 100x more than I'd bea a friend up about these things! :D

I don't have chocolate in the house either, like you I can't.. it finds me when I'm out and about *whistles innocently*. I'm lucky in that I only buy for me, although I have a housemate who has had an open box of ferrero since before Xmas which is going down waaaay too sloooowly... can't wait until that is gone and out of sight! (I don't eat her chocs, but it does make me want to go out and buy my own! :o )

I actually think not eating chocolate weetabix in the morning is helping too - gave me the taste for it I think :o

What do you do for a living? That's very "" about drinks! May I suggest you "down" a small bottle of water each time you have a break. Coke and tea don't count :p Well, of course they do, but i'd have both - the coke for the caffine and the water for rehydration. They will let you nip to the loo won't they?

  • I am so annoyed, although I havent posted much on here, I really have been trying to stick to the plan... but I weighed myself this morning and have lost nothing.. zilch... in about 3 weeks!

I do a lot of exercise... in the last two weeks I have run 30+ miles and biked about 80. Why doesnt that make a difference?!

Well done to all the losers.. I wish I could be celebrating with you, I feel like a bit of an imposter at the moment :o
