When the kids have gone to school will have a route around in the freezer for something for dinner.

Need to do an online shop today, have run low of cupboard essentials.

Hope you all have a good day whatever you are doing.x

    Good Morning!

Happy Birthday to Dazi and Jaxx!

Chilly here, not working til this afternoon so in bed with the lappie. Need to go to a Mentor's meeting at 4.30 across town....grr why did they have to move the students after the first year? Don't like twilight meetings-golly I'm grumpy today!

Then home and one of the students is coming to mine for a meeting-she stood me up last week. It's a thankless task!

One wash done, towels and tea towels about to go on, hope to put them out on the line and then prepare tea. Mince in the slow cooker I think for chilli or spag bol.

    Have a good day all.

    Morning All,

Dazi and Jaxx - happy birthday hope you're spoilt rotten

Not much to report except it's my SIL's due date today, but rather selfishly she is still yet to produce my nephew :rotfl: If still nothing tonight, I might pop round there and force feed her a vindaloo see if that helps :rotfl:

Noticed last night that my right foot was a bit swollen. Weird I thought it was swollen ankles that were common in pregnancy. Will mention it to the midwife when I see her next week.

Tea tonight is Spanish Chicken and rice mmmmmmm! Think baby is having a growth spurt atm as am permanently hungry!

Have lovely day OS or otherwise, hugs xx

    Morning all!!!

Up really early this morning, woke at 5.20, probably because I was so tired last night I was in bed with my book by 9.15 and I think I managed about 2 pages. I leave the kids' bedroom light on for a bit so DD1 can read. DH didn't turn it off when he came up after watching tv, so it was on all night. As a consequence the birds were singing all night!!!!!! We have 2 gorgeous budgies and they can make quite a noise at night. DD1 was awake until I turned her light off when I woke this morning. She was too tired to get up and turn off the light and couldn't figure out why the birds were so noisy. Honestly!!!!

Anyhoo, as I was up so early, I have got lots done. Ground my spices for the month, black pepper, cumin and coriander this month. Cooked a big pot of bolognaise. Lasagne for tonight and for the freezer, and the rest to be portioned up for the freezer for spg bol. Marinated all the cut up chicken and wings and it is all now freezing in bags or trays. Got a whole kg of minced beef. I used about 1/3 for the lasagne and bolog sauce ( bulked out with red lentils, oats and grated carrot) and the rest is divided into 5 portions which seem quite big. Usually dh buys my beef mince and he must just get maybe 1/2 kg. I've never had so much.
Whizzed up garlic and it's in a screw-top jar in the fridge ready for use. Onions whizzed up and in the freezer in a bag.

Had my first order come yday from Swinco. They were doing a free gift up until the end of Feb. Someone on the grocery shopping thread was enthusing about their's. They got a set of cordless house phones. We desperately need new phones, so I was dead excited opening my parcel. What did I get?????? A set of writing paper and envelopes and shoe polish!!!!!!!!! GUTTED! I know it was free, but I was secretly hoping for a wee bit better than that. I do appreciate them don't get me wrong.
Have a parcel from approved foods coming today too, and can't remember what I ordered apart from flour, mayo and tommy K, so that should be exciting.
Have a good day all, whatever you do.

    Morning All,

    Happy Birthday Jaxx and Dazi:beer::beer::beer:
Dry but cold here, will need to wrap up as I need to pop to the post office with my seven parcels and then a quick mooch around the charity shops:money:

Well done to those who got their first choice schools and good luck those who haven't heard yet I know it can be a really anxious time.

Cheapsgate get you, I love CK, I would buy the shop if I could afford it:D

Lowesy both my feet swelled in pregnancy

Can't do much cleaning today. DH papered the fireplace last night and still has another wall to do so stuff everywhere, hope it will be finished tonight. It looks fab, so much brighter and really lifts the room.:T

Mum and Dad are coming for tea tomorrow and DD, BF and DGS are coming now as well apparently:cool: I don't mind really but was going to do steak for my dad and DH but can't afford steak for everyone, it will have to be cottage pie or something I can stretch to eight.

tea tonight will be a breakfast tea as my youngest calls it, egg bacon and sausage with beans and tomatoes.

Take Care, have a good Wednesday x

    Morning all!

Happy birthday Dazi and Jaxx xxx

Congrats to all those who got good news about schools, finger's crossed for those still waiting!

Grey here today, but I should get my new car, well new to me, today, garage orig offered to deliver, but slight hitch due to a bereavement there, so may have to collect, might have to walk as everyone is working so no lifts about, about 2 and a half miles, so not too far, but I still get quite faint and would rather not pass out on the side of the road lol! I love where we live, but no public transport is a pain at times!

OS today will be minimal, as for some reason the house is reasonably tidy, DW was loaded straight after dinner as I'd emptied it in readiness, dishcloths soaking in bleach, could do with more washing being thrown on and a quick hoover round.

Lunch for dd3 was ham sarnies, clems, apple, animal biscuits and cheese
Lunch for ds who is home today, and dd1 who is still not feeling great, and me, will be whatever we grab and put in a sarnie!
Lunch for dd2 will be eaten as a snack when she arrives home from school - apparently eating lunch interferes with her social life!

Dinner tonight will be curry made in the SC, will leave cooked chicken in fridge for kids to add to theirs, SC will contain veg version as easier to freeze leftovers that I can eat, as I'm the biggest curry fan! Nice and easy and quick as I'm working till 9pm tonight!

Have a good day all, time for a cuppa and a catch up now xx

Happy Birthday Dazi and Jaxx - hope you have a lovely day:bdaycake::bdaycake:

Today after I recover from yest - I intend getting my house back to normal. Had quite a few people here last night after the big birthday day out so need to get tidy again. Dw on at the moment, also wm but think washing will have to go over airers as it is just grey and cold here totally unlike sunny yest which was glorious

Hope everyone has a good day x
