I've also had problems with Grattan. I never received the first toothbrush they sent, even though they insist i have signed for it (I am still waiting for them to send proof after 3 requests and have been charged for 2 brushes in the meantime). I have also never received the smoothie maker. After many requests they told it it would be sent after I made the first payment and now they have told me it is on order and new stock is coming in 22nd May.
I have had many catalogues over the years and this is the worst customer service I have ever received. I have requested and received the head office address to put my complaint in writing.0 -

have you tried calling Kenwood customer care? I'd be worried! could be a problem with the rubber seal. I received replacement rubber seals for the tap within a week of calling customer care but I havent actually used it since (over a month now!) as have been quite busy.theonlyrick wrote:Having placed an order and after lots of hassling, Grattan have just sent me my free "Kenwood" smoothy maker.
Except it's not Kenwood, in fact I wouldn't call it a smoothy maker.
It's an unbranded item, about the size of two mugs stacked on top of each other. The thing is, I'm not sure how powerful it is, given that it runs off 4 AAs! (That motor kicks out a terrifying 6 volts.:eek: I don't think I'll be re-enacting that famous end scene of Fargo.... (I seriously doubt it could puree a strawberry.))
I don't know whether to kick up a fuss and ask for Grattan to send me an actual Kenwood smoothy maker. Decisions decisions...
if they said Kenwood smoothie maker then it should be a Kenwood Smoothie maker!0 -
The mixer still leaks I think is meant to. If you look where yopu put the container in the base there are some slots, thats where the liquid is coming from and down the base and coming underneath the base, its only a bit, bute despite always cleaning the smoothie maker it is starting to stink.
We use our almsot everyday its fantastic for healthly drinks, cant do without it now.
No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you0 -

I have had no paperwork from Grattans at all, so not sure what I should do.
Any suggestions?!No one puts baby in the corner.0 -
I forgot all about this until I recieved 4 brush heads through the post yesterday morning, I phoned up and they are gonna send out the toothbrush for me, it seems so long ago, was I also expecting a smoothie maker? it does tend to ring a bell.0

I recieved my brush heads yesterday, so I sent grattan an email, stating that they were in breach of the Sale of Goods Act and they replied with an email stating that they will send me the toothbrush and it would state 24.99 on the invoice but I will only be charged £9.99 and the smoothie maker will be back in stock in june and then I will recieve one.
Lets wait and see what happens.
If we dont hear anything I think we should all contact watchdog, it worked for the gamecubes!!0 -
Can someone help me? I received the brush heads from Grattan, and after an email they sent me the actual Toothbrush. However I have since reformatted and have lost their email - am I supposed to send them the brush heads back or do I just keep it all?0

If you keep both they will charge you for both! Best to phone Grattan (dont use the 0870 there is a free phone number somewhere on the thread) and arrange for a courier to pick the brusheads up.
