Need some help. I have lost the manual for the toothbrush and I didn't get a chance to check how long a normal charge takes. I remember reading that a first charge takes 24 hours which I have done but I don't know how long a normal charge takes! Can someone read the manual and check?0

It's not actually mentioned in the manual. I've not used mine but I would've assumed that charging LED indicator would simply go off when it is fully charged... ?
I've had the Kenwood Smoothie maker for about 3 weeks now and use it almost everyday. Today the rubber seal around the goblet where the tap goes broke. Is this just poor quality or am I doing something wrong that makes it break so easily?? has anyone tried using the tap without the rubber seal on?0 -
Just went to pay for the toothbrush and the catalogues bank, HSBC were going to charge a fiver for the priveledged, what a rip off!!
So I rang the catalogues and paid by debit card automatically.
My god banks are now only open for the affluent, greedy beggers

?!?!
But it says at the back of the invoice that, quote, "Take the statement to any branch of the HSBC bank which offers this service free of charge to anyone", unquote
doesn't that mean that HSBC banks will not charge anyone paying by Bank Giro? I was just planning to go to HSBC tomorrow :P Thanks for the warning, shrek1010 -

Thanks for the reply (given you a thanks via forum) LED doesn't go out!
I've used the smoothie maker a few times and it seems pretty sturdy. Not sure which seal you're talking about. The only rubber seal I have seen is at the bottom between the screw-on blade bit and the jug. Maybe you could claim under warranty?0 -
Note sure why the bank was going to charge, I rarely go into banks tbh. There was a massive queue and I couldnt be bothered to argue with them. I just left thinking to myself they can go to hell. Then go home rang the catalogue and paid via phone without talking to anyone.

shrek101, sounds like you were more than just a little irritated! I might still try my HSBC bank because I don't like the idea of giving my card number over the phone to someone. will let you know if I had a problem as well or not.meinnit wrote:Thanks for the reply (given you a thanks via forum

strange! can't be forever charging :P sorry can't be of more help there...
When you unscrew the tap from the jug/goblet, do you not have a rubber seal where the tap should be? it's between the tap and the jug/goblet. I did call customer service and 'as a gesture of goodwill' I'm getting a replacement sent for free. But I'm wondering if it's me not doing something right or it's just poor quality... ? I always unscrew the tap to wash it but it shouldn't wear out that easily/quickly!0 -
Ah, didn't know the tap could be unscrewed. I always wondered how I could give it a good wash without running water through it for 5 mins! Will try it next time I use it! Thanks for the tip0

I am having problems with the Kenwood smoothie maker. It appears to leak not from the seals but underneath just under the blades, liquid is slowly dripping onto the plastic (poished metal) finish onto the motor, I am wondering is its a real safety issue, as thsi cant be right.

Having placed an order and after lots of hassling, Grattan have just sent me my free "Kenwood" smoothy maker.
Except it's not Kenwood, in fact I wouldn't call it a smoothy maker.
It's an unbranded item, about the size of two mugs stacked on top of each other. The thing is, I'm not sure how powerful it is, given that it runs off 4 AAs! (That motor kicks out a terrifying 6 volts.:eek: I don't think I'll be re-enacting that famous end scene of Fargo.... (I seriously doubt it could puree a strawberry.))
I don't know whether to kick up a fuss and ask for Grattan to send me an actual Kenwood smoothy maker. Decisions decisions...
If less is more, think how much "more" more would be.0
