I also wonder if they will pay cashback between march and when we transfer over?

This is a real shame....I have been an egg customer since the first few days of them being...I hope they keep the staff on in Derby....... will probably get 2 halifax cards (clarity is it?) and put £300 on them each month, will then probably use my amex red card and give the 1% to charity. Unless a better offer comes along

I doubt they will keep the staff - Barclays want the book only. You are the 1st person in this whole thread to think of them though - good for you.

I don't want anything to do with barclaycard. Experienced their "customer service" before and don't want to ever again.
Egg have been faultless. I've had a card ever since they began.
Love the cashback, I'm another full £200 member due in my account.
Never mind if it goes ahead and barclaycard change the staff, service or internet log in and ESPECIALLY cashback.

    I'm OFF.

...The fear is Egg Money customers may lose the 1% cashback payment plus a year's extended warranty on electrical goods they currently get...

My guess is this would seem an almost certainty based on previous credit card accounts Barclaycard have taken over - perhaps not immediately, but eventually it will disappear.

This is what they did to former MSDW cashback credit card holders. There's still a cashback but it's so minute now it's hardly worth it and I wouldn't be surprised to be informed it'll be cancelled altogether soon. :(

RIP Egg Money. Mule, Cashback, 4% in credit interest, oh and Service.

I'd typically shaft anything or anyone for a profit, but I had a soft spot for Egg.

I would say it's unlikely that they would cancel it without notice and they are likely to pay the cashback at least until the notice period has expired or until a date specified in the notice.

I have no interest in being a customer of Barclaycard regardless of the new terms. My cashback is due to be paid this month and once I've spent down the credit balance I'll switch to another card and close the account. I don't want the hassle of trying to extract unpaid cashback for next year from Barclaycard.

Just applied to Capital One using Topcashback, so at least I'll get a fee-free 1% for another 12 months (assuming they accept me of course!)
