She's everso nervous of it and keeps growling and spitting when I put her near it. She is curious though as she does go up to it - sniff it then walk away.
Have you considered spraying it with cat nip, or maybe rubbing it with a t-shirt from your laundry basket? The fact that she's sniffing it is a good sign, if you could couple this habit with a smell that she's comfortable with, it might do the trick.0 -

Hey
Tried this last night and this morning she had found her way outside! Still had to help her get back in - but progress indeed. Have done the same to the outside of the catflap too. Fingers crossed that we are getting somewhere!
Thanks for the tip.

This will sound tragic, but helping you help your cat has totally made my week
I miss having one around, my wife's pet cat had to move back to her parents as he couldn't figure out how to exit a block of flats...0 -

Glad the cat has been of assistance:rotfl:I'm hoping she will continue to make progress or I will be back to you for more tips!
I really missed not having a cat when I moved from my parents to the house I'm in now - 5 years without a cat - not good.Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

Herr A shop planned for later.
Also got to get buffet stuff for my god daughter's birthday party on Sunday - but that comes out of another budget!
Tonights tea will be the fridgeraiders risotto postponed from earlier in the week.
DH is going out tonight, so should be able to get ahead with the fruit turnovers etc for Saturday's fundraiser and perhaps do a little bit of decluttering? maybe?
Phew! will be glad when this weekend and next week is over then I MIGHT have a chance of having a rest - so tired at the moment its untrue.
One redeeming feature of the weekend is that we are going to a friend's for dinner on Saturday night - we haven't been round for ages as a couple and it will be great to have someone else do the cooking (especially after having such a busy day)!
Happy Thursday - nearly the weekend folks!

Cat had found her way outside again this morning and this time I just sat there and called her and she came through by herself! She is still really nervous of it, but extra progress made today.
Thanks all for listening .... I'm not some sort of mad cat lady - I just worry about my animal...

In other news, did Herr A and Mr T shop last night bringing the grocery total to £148 and pence - popped into Mr T on the way in this morning to get bread and milk and handwash so I can go straight home tonight and the total is about £151 - not going to worry about the £1 something - will still be putting £50 towards the OP.
I say that I will be going straight home! Got to drop my car off at the Charity Office and then walk down to collect the Charity van which has been in for MOT repairs and then drop van off and collect car before going home - good job its all local as otherwise would be stuffed! Aiming to get home by about 5.30 so I can start my turnovers and fruit tarts I'm making for tomorrow's fundraiser in plenty of time (DH won't be home till 7.30).
Tonights tea will be minced beef and onion pasties (as I'm making pastry anyway) veggies, a few potatoes and gravy.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

PS Forgot to add - booked night before holiday hotel and parking yesterday - still waiting for the cashback to be tracked! Took a annual travel insurance policy out too - that HAS tracked. Also need to chase up my order from medic animal - they sent me an e-mail last week saying it had been despatched - sent them an e-mail 2 days ago to say it hadn't arrived. Will have to ring them at lunchtime.Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

So if I arrived about 7:40 that'd be good timing for a HM pasty?MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -
