Whilst going through my holiday toiletries, I discovered that I still have lots of half used bits and bobs from previous holidays - so my mission is to use some of the old stuff up.
So, there is half a mini bottle of shower gel in the shower and a half used small tube of toothpaste by the sink!
I have more shower gel and and another toothpaste - it's such a waste to throw these away or even worse, just keep them in the drawer!
I have used alot of stuff up, but it seems I have so much more - time for another sort out me thinks.

Sounds like a lovely holiday,
We've done the wicker basket thing - I have to admit I thought it was a bit tame.... but I did spend time in the 90's on rollercoasters in theme parks!Early retired - 18th December 2014
If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough0 -
I'd have to be really convinced of the strength of the wicker to actually get into the basket :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
MCI, I have loads and loads of hotel toiletries - I think some of them might be from relatives' rooms as well? And when I excavated my understairs cupboard I found a gift set that had been sat there for *years*
I'm pouring it into the liquid soap dispensers
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
The wicker basket was strong enough with ski-type things on it - it was the fact that you weren't strapped in and the hill was quite steep in places and the only thing stopping you from going smashing into parked cars, pedestrians and other baskets was two chaps at the back acting as steering and brakes....
I forgot to say about DHs bargain from the charity shop on Monday. His mum had got a chair from the charity shop that had almost exactly the same material on the seat as our dining room chairs that we inherited from my family friend. We have got 2 extra chairs to make it a 6 seater, but they were a bit rickity to say the least.
I've got some hotel toiletries, but I've specifically brought them back to wrap for lucky dip to raise money for our charity....
DH went to the charity shop and the chairs were £5 each - he wanted 2! They gave him 2 for £5 and then just threw in a third that was slightly scratched. An amazing bargain! 3 chairs for £5!
They are cherry wood instead of mahogany - but apart from that the seat covering is almost an exact match (same stripes, same colour! If you weren't paying attention - you wouldn't notice! So really pleased with that!

Hey MCI,
Long time, just checking up on how you've been doing.
You've been very busy it seems!
Good deal on the chairs!

£16 to Kitchen Fund from sweep of personal bank account.
Got the quote for the kitchen fitting last night from my friends' husband - it's very reasonable compared to the quote we had from the company that's supplying the kitchen (about 25% cheaper) and it includes tiling the walls and the floor and fitting the sink - which the other quote didn't!
Just got to get the electrician down now to see what we need doing and when he can do it.
Kitchen fitter is really busy and I need to book him in asap - need to push DH! Oh joy!

MCI
Yeah feeling much better, had a bad leg for a while after taking the Mrs away for her birthday to Paris (I booked it 2 weeks before the attacks..... luckily it was all good when we visited earlier this year.
Nothing beats a nice new kitchen! You'll have to get DH to have a go at tiling!
