£29.92 Council Tax Refund to the House Fund.
I've got to have the money back for the gas & electric bill I paid, but that can come out of the water refund.

on the strawberries. At least you have your lovely new garden you can enjoy this year
And hooray on being landlords! Glad to hear that's all ticking over nicely nowa penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. Work has been an absolute nightmare. Loads to do and never enough time to do it...really feeling the pressure at the moment.
Things are changing too. We are no longer going to get dividends (long story), but I have had a pay rise (a nice one) and I will still get a bonus if the company does well. So no more lump sums expected.
However, we did get paid a dividend this year and I have put £3k into the kitchen fund and £3k into the roof fund - which will be separate from the house fund lol. Have to make the most of this money and use it for the most expensive things we need to do in the house as this is the last time will receive a lump like this.
As the wages are going up, we will have more for overpaying and renovations on a monthly basis, so all is not lost.
Off to repot my seedlings - need a breath of air as I've been in the house all day.
Hope to catch up with some diaries in the week.

I count myself very lucky in the way things have turned out money-wise. But things are changing at work and it might be time for me to make a change within the next 12 months - we shall see.
I forgot to add yesterday that we has £200 surplus from last months spends that is staying in the joint account (for easy access and interest) - added to the overall house fund.
We were discussing what we need to spend money on - and for the most part (apart from the kitchen and re-wiring) it will be all outside this year - DH shed/workshop; 7ft gates on the front and the roof - expensive stuff, but everything else will be pretty inexpensive in comparison.
21 tomato seedlings potted up; 4 courgettes and 2 cucumbers - mainly for the charity plant stall, but a few for us - we are planning a veg patch - looking forward to getting stuck into that.
Quite a few vouchers to spend at the moment as I has a few for my birthday last week - will enjoy that - some nice bits for holiday would be nice.
Charity meeting tonight; so won't be eating till late. We are having Salmon with cream & dill sauce & pasta.
Hope everyone is ok - at least the sun is shining to start us off this week.

£162.33 refund received from the water board on the rental.
- £68 owed to me as I paid the gas/electric bill
- £93.82 transferred to the Kitchen Fund
That's all the money things sorted with the rental now except for actually receiving the rent!!!! (Can't wait - then we can overpay!!!)
So busy over the next couple of weeks - really glad I've got things to look forward to, but all seems to happen at once.
Out with a friend on Saturday daytime; being taxi service for my brother on Sunday. Then Easter weekend, out with a friend for a belated birthday dinner on the Saturday night, Easter Sunday (relax!), Easter Monday - DHs birthday and Tuesday out and about for treats with DH before back to work on Wednesday.
Phew! Lots of lovely things, but what I would really like is a rest! Roll on 27th May when we go away for a WHOLE week TOGETHER!!!!
Still eating through the freezer - trying to make a huge effort after being bad last week. Tonight I'm going to do Moroccan style Chicken & Cous Cous - using up LO Coriander...
Can't believe we are in the middle of March already - but it is a 5 week month and we don't get paid till the last day of the month (boo!)

That sounds really good, MCI - always lovely to have things planned, *and* to have a few rest days here and there.
My freezer must look very odd to meat eaters - I mostly keep nuts and seeds in there, as I buy in bulk and freeze them to stop the rancidity process. But I haven't opened the sunflower seeds all winter - must get round to that.

Hi KC
I did thanks - gave most of the chicken to DH - the coriander was lovely especially paired with the tender stem broccoli I put in.
I must admit that I have allsorts of stuff in my freezer (though no seeds:)) Hoping to actually get through it this month, so I can start planning for when we have the kitchen done - where I suspect that I won't have access to proper cooking facilities for about a month
Hoping it will be a good June/July so we can have bbqs and I can put my camping gas burner outside to boil pasta, fry eggs etc...
