    Good news about the dividend!

    Thanks Lois and catshark.

Unfortunately, DH wasn't feeling well enough for dairy on Saturday, so we had the turkey strips cooked with some garlic and stuffed in pitta breads with salad.

Was really tired yesterday, but managed to:

    - Get new key for allotment gate (they had changed the locks without informing all the allotment holders - lets face it, not everyone is going to go up there in Jan/Feb are they?)
    - Shift some bags of stuff from the allotment and take down the tip (currently emptying the compost bin, so we can re-build and start again)
    - Started having a look at LED light bulbs.

£2.59 spent on groceries over the weekend, plus a few treats from a local farm shop - which will come out of personal spends.

Dividend cheque paid in this lunchtime - can't wait for it to clear and be shuffled about.

In the meantime, will have to make do with DHs regular deposit of £50 to the house fund.

Was greeted by a frosty car this morning (which DH had mostly scraped for me - bless) and then remembered I needed to put some fuel in the car otherwise I wasn't going to get to work!

The scattyness continued this morning by not getting anything out for tea - BUT as we have a charity meeting later I am going to get a container of cooked chicken pieces out of the freezer when I get home and they will be defrosted by the time I get back.

Will make a Chicken and rice dish of some description.

Back to the meal plan tomorrow - DH is feeling better (not 100%, but much better) so should be ok to plough on with it.

Hope everyone's week goes well - off to update signature.

Cheque was showing on my account today - can it really be cleared already can it??? Going to wait till tomorrow to do the shuffle.

Been to get keys cut £4 spent.

£4.28 on groceries at Herr A last night - have jigged the meal plan round.

Chicken & Rice changed to chicken in pita bread last night - it was good and just hit the spot actually.

Tonight I'm doing Basa Fillets with chilli, lime and soy with noodles - might throw a few prawns in too - haven't done this for ages - really looking forward to it.

Fuel fill up on the way home tonight and I am going to treat the car to a clean tomorrow - going to cost me, but it hasn't been done for such a long time, its just easier to get someone to do it! (Not very MSE, but its a treat for me really as I am not keen on washing my car - oh the shame).

Where the basa fillets from Herr A? I tried some in a fish pie (they don't do a mix) and was quite impressed. I'd not heard of basa before.

Yes catshark I get my basa fillets from Herr A - just £1.99 a pack. Have used them for a while now - not bad and very economical.

Unfortunately, we didn't have them as DH wasn't feeling too good. Glad I hadn't got them out of the freezer (usually cook from frozen), so we will probably have them Saturday.

Transferred £3500 from my dividend to the House Fund! :j Wow, that's a great feeling. All I have to do now is find us a better account to put it all in.

It's my birthday tomorrow - so will be popping to Mr T tonight to get cakes for work and something nice for my lunch tomorrow.

Going to drop my car to the car wash shortly - just down the road from work and will collect later.

Tonight's tea will be HM cottage pie - I think this will be plain enough for DH no matter how he feels tonight (fingers crossed).
