I have 2 ins from today, not bought though :D. An exfolitor and a gradual tanner. Freebie given to me when I booked my spray tan. I'm having it done on the 26th April. I'll look lovely for the wedding. Do you think that I should buy a hat? They're sure to invite me as they're doing it on my birthday :D.
Drain STILL blocked. I spent hours emptying it with a bucket _pale_ and pouring the waste down my neighbours drain. I even got into the drain itself which was not very nice and tried to get my hand in but couldn't reach as the hole's too small for me (I'm not fat but I'm long!). Realy want a pampering bath tonight so will have to do that and leave the water again. Desperate for the loo too so that's going to have to sit. We have family coming round for dinner tomorrow so I'll have to remember to go around before they come and flush all the loos before they think I'm a minger .
I don't want to add any more water to the drain at the mo as I've poured 5 litres of brick acid down there to try and break up whatever it is. Hopefully that can sit and brew away overnight and will then clear it. If that doesn'tdo the trick, I'll have to call out the water board on Monday as it's actually past my boundary and is in the main bit connecting to the sewer. I can't believe the stuff I was pulling out though, I mean, who puts wipes down their loo? And why are they coming up and blocking my drain :(.
I'll have to not do any washing until it's clear because otherwise, I'm going to end up with raw sewerage all over my front garden. Rats.
I had so much I wanted to do this weekend and now I'm aching like a beast and the house is still a mess.

OK, off to do some pampering.

    aww
big hugs sent to you kaz!
ok may be not tooo close!

can you not get environmental health or the council to unblock your drains?? or do they charge too much?

my mum swears blind that boiling water with bleach does wonders

Nah, it's a water board job now, they'll have to go through the main sewer out in the road. It's past my boundary (the blockage) so I won't be liable for any cost. Bleach can't get through it, if bleach was going to do the trick, the rodding would have worked. All I can hope is that the acid dissolves whatever's there enough to break it up. If that happens, it'll clear no bother. Otherwise water board on Monday.

  • Hope it gets sorted soon, Kaz.:(

Two INs from my parents bringing over my stuff today: Neal's Yard Orange Flower moisturiser and Power Berry moisturiser. I'm not very impressed by their stuff, but both were magazine freebies so I will use them for hand or foot cream.

I'm very very tempted to get some S&G goodies tomorrow as they're still on 3-4-2. I'd never even looked at their stuff before this thread, and I've now been converted to the Hand food, shampoo and conditioner. I really want to try the breakfast scrub, shower gel and body butter too. Hmm...

champneys hand cream- wnba. Quite nice and thick but smelt of rotten oranges:eek:

aveeno body lotion-wba. My HG but I will buy the shea butter version when my stash is finished :D

oh and I have just spotted the avon sos hand cream for £1 in the reps clearance. I know it's someone's HG...:rotfl:

*sticks hand up* that'll be meeee! :D I knew it was heading through - annoyingly there's loads of stuff in that clearance that I could easily go for - the Solutions Winter range I wanted to try are all down at £1 each as well. I won't be buying any of the Dry Skin SOS hand cream though. Nope. Absolutely not. :A Because I'm a good girl and I happen to know that in the following Reps clearance section it will only be 75p a tube! ;)

Kaz your drain thing sounds Uuuuuurrgghhh! i really do NOT envy you doing that one little bit - I really hope it clears overnight and is fine when you get up tomorrow.

I know what people mean about cleaning cars - mine is really rewarding to do as she just looks gorgeous when she's freshly washed - all sparkly and shiny! I have the worlds fiddliest alloy wheels though so I don't like doing that bit so much! LOL!

Ditto to Kaz -it's usually cooking fat in the drains around my area, yuk. I know a girl who had a loo backfire on her....ooops.

Bohemianrose9 - I too had never heard of S&G until my bestest friend bought me the lovely hatbox last Christmas and then I got onto the Boots sale thread on here!! The body butter is just gorgeous, I'm totally addicted to it. I find some of the products a bit overwhelmingly sickly - I found i couldn't manage to use ALL S&G in one pampering session! I like to alternate them with other products so I don't get sick of it.

Had a little oopsy in the B%dy Sh%p today. I had a spend £20 get £10 off voucher burning a hole in my pocket which runs out weds....have been wanting to try the Aloe Vera range so got a Soothing night cream for me and (to ease the guilt) got a mens product for the DBoyf (Maca Root Energetic Face Protector with SPF 15). Then 2 x natural (aluminium free) deodorant sticks (chilled and breezy/fresh and floral) for £5 took me to a £15 spend and so got the free Vitamin E Sink-In Mosture mask.
Free samples of the almond hand rescue (tiiiiny free sample pot) and the Honey face mask. I've still got my groupon and those are some of the products I've been eyeing up for it.
Also got the No.7 hair spritz to try (£1 with voucher) - have still got one left to spend.

Ummed and aahed over the cotton gloves - do these actually do anything or it is just gimmicky?

In case anyone is bored enough to peruse my new INS....i'm experimenting with trying to do pics on here...woo hoo, by some fluke here it is!!

Just looked on the quidco site and realised you get 12% cashback, free reward card worth £5 and free delivery as well at the body shop. So I needed some muslim cloths (my LE ones are ready for the bin) thought I would look to see if BS sell them. Well I filled up my basket with shea products as well and then emptied the basket. Then I filled it up again with skin care (wise women range) - had to empty my basket again and force myself just to get the muslim cloths and loyalty card - and phew - that is all I bought it was a very NPI. Spent £5.40 instead of alot more:T and £59p from quidco.:D

Does anyone know if I will get my birthday offer with the card as it is my birthday in two weeks wondered if I have ordered it too late and have I missed the offer ???
  • Hi everyone, hope your enjoying the sunshine and having a good weekend.

No sunshine to be had in Scotland, just 2 inches of snow when I opened the curtains

I had to go into work this morning, but afterwards I just wanted to come home and watch terrible telly instead of going to any shops.
So at least the rubbish weather was useful for something :)

2 tiny UU this week, it's been a poor week for finishing things!
Sachet of Nivea aqua sensation moisturiser and one of eye cream.
I like the eye cream because it had light reflecting bits in and I could actually see a difference.
No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018
    35 UU / 13 unnecessary ins

I reckon you'll get it in time, but don't think it really matters as you can collect any time in your birthday month - They don't even check your real birth date, so you could just as easily say in was in january to take advantage of the sales :D Am tempted to get another free card :D

    Cool travel stash EH!

Just painted my nails with Miss Sporty 'Zodiac', have to say, the brush is amazing! One sweep does the whole nail and probably won't even need a second coat! It's a kind of metallic pale purple silvery colour - inspired by Sawan's fab metallic nail polish!
