Home bargains had some of those microfibre towels for your hair, the turban type in white for 99p each. Got two for my little girl's very long, thick hair, good buy IMO.

OOO I do like them, I don't use them very often but after Ive dyed my hair and washed it out I do - always wrap my hair in them because there is always excess dye that doesn't come out in the shower, stops me messing up all my towels :D

Didn't get to town in the end, had a migrane come on so feel terrible :( OH is ill too, think we've both caught a lurgy....hey ho will make it to town tomorrow instead :o

I'm very impressed with myself today:D

I went into Select to look for a top I'd seen online, which I found and bought, but on route to the till I saw that they are stocking make-up. They had some gorgeous nail polishes. I stopped, I stared, I thought about it, I didn't touch, I paid for my top and left the shop :j
Then I nipped into SD to see if they had any jewelry worth having. They didn't. Luckily the jewelry stand is next to the door so I just walked back out again.
Then into Asda for a couple of things for dinner, I completed bypassed the toiletry aisle, the magazine aisle, and the seasonal aisle with all the toiletry roll backs. I'm feeling very smug and rather amazed at myself too:rotfl:

I did fall in love with a pair of shoes, or 3, on Tesco's 3 for 2 sale items page though. They're half price already and then with 3 for 2 I'd get £66 worth of beautiful shoes for £25 delivered. Very tempting indeed:o

Re the white turban wrap towels - Poundland in Durham had black turbo towels in stock, it struck me straight away that these could be used for hair dye and henna conditioners and be re-used as the dye wouldn't show on the black.

    I second that

Oh just seen that it's not big enough, could you tell him they were delivered by mistake and you will sort it out tomorrow, if he doesn't know about the other deliveries it might work. Cover the label with your name on though.

one UU to report: Amazing Grace body lotion
WIBA: I might because I liked the sense and it was glittery and lovely! Need to use up the others first though.

This is one of my all time favourites that I repurchase time and time again. My bottle has got to the point where the pump won't work because there isn't enough to pump up it IYSWIM. Don't want to finish it though cos I love it so much. Have some Eternal Grace and Pure Grace in the stash though so won't repurchase for a while.

I really like the Liz Earle toner too but like you say is a bit expensive. I've also tried and liked the BS cucumber toner and the Sanctuary Spa toner. Thinking about trying the Boots cucumber toner too as is very cheap (about £2 ish a bottle)

I want Lemon Aid too :o

What does the BS toner feel like when you apply it? The Nivea one that I tried, as well as feeling astringent, didn't absorb into my skin.

Oooh dear, what have I started with the Lemon Aid?

*whispers* I have sinned! I went into the b**ts place as I was in town. I bought 1275g of smooth appeal wax for £3.50. I'm hoping to be allowed to bypass the naughty step as I don't have any wax in stock. Does it make a difference that there were 2 large tubs and 3 little ones? I think that probably makes it bad doesn't it? 2x 450g for £1 and 3x 125g for £0.50. Paid with points.

See I don't think this earns you a place on the naughty step because a) you didnt have any in the stash to begin with and b) you paid with points. Just don't buy any more until you have used them all.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

HA!! my house would be empty ...LOL!

I have dutifully reported to the aforementioned thread and introduced myself, problem is now I might have to actually start decluttering (BIG GULP!!!)

Gosh just looking at the thread, they look far more ruthless than you guys on here, feel a bit safer here!
Think I might only be able to cope with one challenge at once, perhaps stick to toiletries for now?!
We're not ruthless over there! We have lots of mini challenges. Things like get rid of 100 things in 10 days (so just 10 things a day). Or get rid of 20 things over a weekend. It sounds like a lot by just by looking in my garage I could probably find 10 things to freecycle, recycle or charity.

I got rid of....1,700 things last year. And a thing could be a piece of furniture(!), toiletries, magazines, just stuff. Lots of illness and stuff meant the house got neglected. But the buying of stuff is usually tied to emotions. I know it is for me.

I haven't checked the thread today so I hope you're making progress celebrate - and even if its getting rid of packaging then that's a start :)
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Less things. Less stuff. More life.

Ooo did you order them all separately or did it just come that way....Im really worried now as I ordered a fairly large order, and can't be dealing with it all coming separate, especially as it will
    A) come when Im out and so neighbour will have to take it - she's already had to take in numerous parcels for me in the past.
    B) will come when OH is here, at least one box won't look as bad as 10!

Hope you do feel well enough to go Charlie - get better soon both.

Thanks - been one of those weeks Im afraid...Our hamster died sunday night after she was ill for the week - so heartbreaking as she was like our child and to make it so much worse I had an exam first thing monday morning, then that evening a 60mile round trip to go bury her in my folks garden... Think the stress of everything has finally caught up!
