charlie sending you hugs about your hamster, i still cry sometimes over my cat Tootsie and he died six years ago. Pets are family members so don't feel silly or shamed by grieving over your loss.

just read someone mentioning using coconut oil as a hair mask, but i can't find the post again.
It's reminded me i have a tub of coconut oil it's almost like lard that you have to warm in your hands, is this the same stuff? How do you wash it out, i can imagine it taking an absolute age.

I loved my little hamster, Biscuit, one of the best photos of me is one taken holding her a few weeks before she died.
I probably won't own another hamster ever, but I would love another guinea pig - or pigs. Both of mine were fantastic little characters, one was incredibly intelligent, who died of old age. Pets do tear at your heart strings but they also give so much.

I was watching the national news earlier and they were talking about one of the soldiers who was repaginated today as he was shot whilst looking for bombs with his sniffer dog. They reckoned that the dog, who had a really special bond with the soldier, after realising he wasn't getting the response he usually gets from his master basically led down beside him and died of a broken heart. I nearly cried when I heard that.

I read that the other day too. So sad.
Humans can die of broken heart syndrome so I suppose dogs might suffer from it too? Any vets able to confirm or deny this?

And yes she was called Rodriguez :p - we did used to have two, (speedy) Gonzalez and (slowpoke) Rodriquez for all that remember that programme haha. Gonzalez had to be PTS not long after we got them so Roddy was my pride and joy - she was also quite magical as she completely changed colour haha, was totally grey + brown but turned totally white ;)

    Happy Birthday PudseyDB,

I have two UU's to report - a Nivea Visage Face Wash: I've been using this in the shower in the mornings, so rather than Cleanse, Tone & Moisturise in the morning which is a bit of a faff, I use this in the shower then moisturise - then at night I'll do the whole shebang. I have also used up a Maybelline Stay Perfect? Lip Colour in shade 415. I've had this shade for at least 3 years, not all that keen on the colour - but I've stuck with it and now its finished!

Has anyone got any tips on how to make lipstick stay on longer? I've got some lovely lip colours - but I don't like to keep re-applying lipstick all day long - any ideas?
