A uu for me today, my spluttering avon tea tree and mint shampoo and a 10ml no7 lift and luminate day cream, used this everyday and it lasted ages, wiba? already have the full size in stash, I really like the glow it gives.

Ooh, I have one of these I'd forgotten about! Looking forward to trying it soon, thanks!

Cleansing definitely has its benefits. Not sure what to recommend as it depends on your skin type. I have combination skin and find that foaming cleansers dry this out.I'm still on the hunt for a replacement for my HG cleanser which was Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. I have heard good things about A'Kin and Body Shop and am thinking of trying those cleansers myself next.

Be careful when choosing a toner. Some of them are very astringent and dry skin out. Two that I've tried that did this are Nivea and Clinique. I'm using Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic at the mo but have been trying to find a cheaper alternative hence why I've found that the Nivea one is too astringent for me. TBH I still don't know whether this does anything for me. I know it's supposed to a) act as a follow on cleanser and take off anything your cleanser didn't and b) re-balance the PH in your skin. I know I don't need it for a) as my cotton pad is always clean after I've used it so it isn't removing anything else and b) it's only at certain times that I feel I need its cooling effect. I suppose I should keep it to use at those times. I'm thinking of trying the M&S toner once I have worked my way through the current bottle of Le as I'm at the end of my stash. That being said a bottle of LE tonic lasts me 4 months. HTH

I really like the Liz Earle toner too but like you say is a bit expensive. I've also tried and liked the BS cucumber toner and the Sanctuary Spa toner. Thinking about trying the Boots cucumber toner too as is very cheap (about £2 ish a bottle)

SJP - I don't think face/hair masks are an absolute necessity, but I do like to use them. I've only used one BS face mask so far - the tea tree one - feels nice on, but not sure if it makes a difference. I love Lush's Brazened Honey one though :) Tried a few hair masks, I can't stand the BS hair btter though - but then I don't like any of their hair care range so that's probably why! Like the Lee Stafford Poker Straight one and Philip Kingsley Elasticzer (is very expensive though!!)

I've been mega busy with college and a house move so I haven't had much time for this thread :(

I'm just here to say my relationship with mascara is officially dead and over  I got so fed up of putting some mascara on in the morning, only for it to be all over my face by 10am that I bought a lash lift kit (eyelash perming, for the old-school amongst us!) and tinted my lashes at the same time. WOW! It's amazing and they look much nicer than they ever did with mascara! :j The kit was £50 (or £60?) but that does 10 applications and each lasts until your lashes fall out - naturally, not because of the lift! :D I've had it done before in a salon/college and it didn't make any difference due to the rollers, etc - believe it or not, my eyelashes are too long :p - but there have been advances and the new way is MUCH better! :j Is it sad that I'm so excited over an eyelash perm? :o I've already done my mum, sister and my mums friend :rotfl:

The only other thing I've bought recently wash shampoo, but I needed that. Some head and shoulders stuff. I can already tell that I won't buy it again though, my hair didn't even look as though it had been washed :(

Got to go to college now, but keep up the good work girlies! :T

Uh oh, now I want to try this so bad!!!!!!!

I want Lemon Aid too :o

juliebunny, I want to avoid the shops today too, I woke up really early all eady to go and then fell asleep again :rotfl: so that was handy! There's a play on at the local thatre I want to see, but I really can't be bothered to go into town. I'm so lazy! Really need to do some cleaning and tidying today though!

*whispers* I have sinned! I went into the b**ts place as I was in town. I bought 1275g of smooth appeal wax for £3.50. I'm hoping to be allowed to bypass the naughty step as I don't have any wax in stock. Does it make a difference that there were 2 large tubs and 3 little ones? I think that probably makes it bad doesn't it? 2x 450g for £1 and 3x 125g for £0.50. Paid with points.
Went to the £1 shop but they had no scrubs in stock. Forgot to go to wilkos and get a new shower puff jobby so will carry on with DH's rope type puff (IYKWIM).
I'm hoping to be able to wax my bikini line today. It does say it can be used on short hair. I know it was only the other day I shaved though so I shall see. I can't do my legs, they're not long enough. Pits can be done too. Not long enough though. I shall leave them until I have finished my next block of nights in 2 weeks and do it then. Hopefully just before I get a spray tan. I've decided that DH can get me that for my birthday :)

Afternoon ladies i had a bit of a pamper last night and did a face mask and a hair mask all i kept thinking was i hope nobody knocks on the door now, i had a bath on tuesday and did a body scrub and body lotion.

    so last night i used

    Aussie 3 minute hair mask
Judith Williams enzyme face mask washed of then used
Judith Williams cleansing milk on face and neck then
SBC Collagen gel on my neck
    Roc eye cream
Body Shop Carrot moisturiser on neck and face i use this on my neck everyday and my face/neck at night as its a bit to greasy for me to use in the day.
Body Shop Almond bb on my feet then put some nice socks on.

so i had a use up

Aussie 3 minute hair mask sachet i do like this but i have a huge tub of coconut oil to use so i will be using that next time i need a hair mask.

my lloyds order came earlier i felt really sorry for the delivery man as he had to bring a huge box up 5 flights of stairs and thay are horrible stairs to climb. so now i dont have to worry about going out next week as i will be out 3 days in total between hospital appointments and food shopping i normally only go out once a week. so i will sort all my stuff out next week and do some photo's. i am really pleased with what i ordered and i got my mum some shampoo and conditioner as it was only 47p and thay are huge bottles 400ml so thay will last a year or maybe more with 2 of them using them.

Happy birthday to the birthday girls hope you have lots of pampering. i have been good i went to the newsagents on sunday and had a look for the G magazine but could not see it and the guy behind the till asked me what i was looking for and he said if its not on there i can order you one in, i said its ok i was just looking to see what you had i felt really proud of myself as i was looking to see if thay had one with the moisturiser on which i dont need anyway as i have about 2 years supply already so no naughty step for me.

Had a couple of ins today, had to go collect a reserved order from Halfords and it's next to poundstretcher, home bargains and aldi. These are our nearest ones are they are still about 6 miles away so don't get there very often. Bought Lacura eye cream for £1.49 and Lacura serum for £3.49, worth a try at that price.

Home bargains had some of those microfibre towels for your hair, the turban type in white for 99p each. Got two for my little girl's very long, thick hair, good buy IMO.

:bdaycake: Hope you are having a very happy birthday, Pudsey DB! :bdaycake:

Just got back from Durham. My friend came with me - she's waiting to start a new job, left one and then discovered her CRB check wasn't through for the new one :( . So she is feeling the pinch a bit but to give herself a lift, she was trotting in to Savers on the lookout for a hair colour....

Goodbye, one foam party hair colour voucher which was in my purse!

She was SO thrilled, kept saying she couldn't believe it. I had felt a bit guilty about keeping it for myself, so it was only right that she got it.

The colour she chose was a sort of golden blonde, all the blonde shades (and medium brown) seem to have been very popular.
