Trudij - hope all goes well with your mare today, keeping fingers crossed for you both.

Celebrate - Dr Pixie on Embarrasing Bodies always amazes me, she doesn't seem to be embarrased by anything. When I watch that I always wonder why you would want to wip out your manky bits on national tv, it's bad enough in a room with one doctor. When the men start flapping there grotty bits about it puts me off my horlicks and I hide behind a cushion till they've put it away.

A uu for me today, my spluttering avon tea tree and mint shampoo and a 10ml no7 lift and luminate day cream, used this everyday and it lasted ages, wiba? already have the full size in stash, I really like the glow it gives.

Reading through what you use, i've reaslised i dont have any of the following in my stash:
    cleanser
    toner
    face mask
    hair mask
    foot cream
    cotton socks
Does cleansing and toning have benefits? I do have a BS voucher to use if anyone could recommend anything?

also BS have a half price offer on shea butter items until 14/03 ;)

Cleansing definitely has its benefits. Not sure what to recommend as it depends on your skin type. I have combination skin and find that foaming cleansers dry this out.I'm still on the hunt for a replacement for my HG cleanser which was Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. I have heard good things about A'Kin and Body Shop and am thinking of trying those cleansers myself next.

Be careful when choosing a toner. Some of them are very astringent and dry skin out. Two that I've tried that did this are Nivea and Clinique. I'm using Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic at the mo but have been trying to find a cheaper alternative hence why I've found that the Nivea one is too astringent for me. TBH I still don't know whether this does anything for me. I know it's supposed to a) act as a follow on cleanser and take off anything your cleanser didn't and b) re-balance the PH in your skin. I know I don't need it for a) as my cotton pad is always clean after I've used it so it isn't removing anything else and b) it's only at certain times that I feel I need its cooling effect. I suppose I should keep it to use at those times. I'm thinking of trying the M&S toner once I have worked my way through the current bottle of Le as I'm at the end of my stash. That being said a bottle of LE tonic lasts me 4 months. HTH

Look forward to hearing about any nice gifts! :j

PS I noticed Groupon have the fish-nibbly-your-feet thing on today for £9.....

and secondly: can anyone recommend a facial hair remover cream that actually works? I'm not quite able to run away with the circus and become the bearded lady but I'm heading that way :o :rotfl: The last one I tried was the 'Boots Expert' and that was a pointless waste of my money. Really not brave enough for waxing and can't afford laser :(

    TIA guys :D

I've given up on these products as I never found one that worked without leaving me with a big red irritated mark on my top lip which was worse than the hair. I now use a No7 Hair Trimmer that I picked up in the sales. I don't really have much upper lip hair except at the two corners of my mouth where it's very stubborn. This works a treat and I'm pretty sure Boots still sell them.

    evening guys

ps. will clingfilm do instead of cotton socks, i'm not supposed to be spending more money right? But you guys make the S&G genius heel balm sound so tempting- i don't actually owna heel balm or a foot cream, will a normal body butter do the same job?

Yes, I reckon so. QVC used to demonstrate a hard skin removal product that they applied and then covered with cling film so I'd say give it a go.

I have cracked open my new Clinique products from THAT mag. My theory being, that if I try them out and love them, I may still be able to get more!!

i had this thought also but as I saw all the stock that was out in our local Co-op and the complete stock has gone from our local Tesco and the Sainsbury's I shop in I will wait.
I always put on a plastic shower cap when applying leave in for a while then wash out conditioners and masks. It truly does make the product more effective.

Thanks for the tip will give it a go next time I use my Ojon.

Just before I go out for the day to Durham - another UU - Chucked Out By The Cleaner :(:(
My Mitchum roll on deo. :( I know it LOOKED empty, but it wasn't - there was still about a week's worth left, I reckon. :(

Lesson learned: hide splutterers from cleaner.

WIBA? It's the HG product and the 'Shower Fresh' version is already on the shelf.

I was so intent on responding to posts that I forgot I have some OUTs and potential INs

Chucked out two blushers - a Jelly Pong Pong cream one (doesn't show on my skin) and a No. 7 mineral one which I just haven't got the hang of applying. Too little and it's like the Jelly Pong Pong one and too much and I look like Aunt Sally. Life's too short to mess around with it. Only good thing that came out of buying this product is the baby Kabuki brush that came with it which I use for my mineral foundation.

OK I have put an Avon order in - mostly for things that I don't have in my stash :-

Supershock (I think that's right) brown/black mascara. Have run out of the brown one that I use for work daily

    Gunmetal nail polish - I don't own a grey

Pack of three lipglosses - felt I could not say no to this as it was £5.00 for the three. My Smashbox ones are coming to their end so I kind of do need more!

Tube of Spotlight body lotion - only 99p on clearance. I am coming to the end of my Tommy Girl lotion and as I still have quite a bit of the shower gel left I thought this may go with it well as Avon say its softly scented.

Had a little pamper last night. Felt really cold when I got in from work again so had long soak in the bath with Philosophy Eggnog shower gel in it plus used my Decleor Herbal Clay Mask which made my skin feel so soft. Was lovely. Have painted my toe nails at last. Used Nails Inc. Candy which I think is now relegated to being used solely on my toes as it's gone like tippex and have painted my finger nails with Leighton Denny Steel Appeal (which ok is grey but looks more black IYSWIM).

Sadly I have also now spotted the Groupon ASOS offer which is still available so may have to go for this as well. Am running low on Benefit Lemon Aid.

Thank You for the welcome determined to avoid any more sales, but I do have my No7 Vouchers to spend. I will stock up on my Cleanser and Toner but that's because I wont buy it at £8 a bottle:rotfl:
