No Buying Toiletries in March Challenge

I have succumbed to the Groupon offer from yesterday re: ASOS as it was still available. I use Benefit Lemon Aid daily (could not go without it as my eyelids are so dark) and I am down to a thin ring worth all the way around the pan. I don't have any more in stash and the only other concealer I could use there (has to be yellow or else it doesn't work) is a very small 0.5ml size so not sure how long that will last. I also don't think I could buy Benefit cheaper anywhere else. Can't see me getting a pot of Lemon Aid for £9.00 on Ebay and Benefit themselves only ever offer 10% off so figured I would go for it.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

VALM - if you're looking for a replacement for Cleanse & Polish, does that mean they're discontinuing it?! I thought that was their bestselling product! (Not to mention it's on my skincare to try list...)
Re: foot cream, I just use normal socks - I have two odd ones where the pairs got lost in the wash so they're my foot cream socks. My OH laughs at me for it but they do the job!
No UUs for me, but I did use the first half of my Lush Christmas Eve Bubble Bar Slice so only have that one and Magic Mushroom left to use up now. Including my Give and Make Up parcel which is going in the post on Saturday, is having a total OUTs of 25 products before I move doable?I got very excited when I read this - yay! a valid reason to wander round HN's - and then had a lightbulb moment! Check the S&G Website! and they confirmed it's been discontinued
Ah noooo, another thing tempting to me to buy the £40 set!*sits on hands and recites reasons why she doesn't need it*
and secondly: can anyone recommend a facial hair remover cream that actually works? I'm not quite able to run away with the circus and become the bearded lady but I'm heading that way:rotfl: The last one I tried was the 'Boots Expert' and that was a pointless waste of my money. Really not brave enough for waxing and can't afford laser
TIA guys
Threading - very effective but in my view gentler than waxing. No it's not being discontinued windsong. LE changed the formula a while back. C&P was my wonder product. After only a few days of using it at first I found my skin tone was evened out. I used to have to use a yellow powder on my cheeks as they were quite ruddy but it got rid of this (and thankfully this has not come back since not using C&P either). LE removed the almond milk from the formula and the texture and effectiveness of the cleanser changed. Saying that I still buy it as my daughter loves using it. It's still worth you trying - one man's meat and all that. HTHBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. You had to post this didn't you!
I'd never heard of this before so had to google it and now i neeeeeeeeed it.
It's good stuff hollyh. I think every woman needs it. However, since justifying my Groupon purchase above I've looked on Ebay for Lemon Aid and there are loads of them going really cheap. I've just been to look at asos but have shut the page down. The goupon voucher's got another 12hrs so i'm going to think about it. The one's on Ebay could be fake, i know there has been a lot of fake benefit stuff on there.0

I've been mega busy with college and a house move so I haven't had much time for this thread
I'm just here to say my relationship with mascara is officially dead and over  I got so fed up of putting some mascara on in the morning, only for it to be all over my face by 10am that I bought a lash lift kit (eyelash perming, for the old-school amongst us!) and tinted my lashes at the same time. WOW! It's amazing and they look much nicer than they ever did with mascara! :j The kit was £50 (or £60?) but that does 10 applications and each lasts until your lashes fall out - naturally, not because of the lift!I've had it done before in a salon/college and it didn't make any difference due to the rollers, etc - believe it or not, my eyelashes are too long
- but there have been advances and the new way is MUCH better! :j Is it sad that I'm so excited over an eyelash perm?
I've already done my mum, sister and my mums friend :rotfl:
The only other thing I've bought recently wash shampoo, but I needed that. Some head and shoulders stuff. I can already tell that I won't buy it again though, my hair didn't even look as though it had been washed
Got to go to college now, but keep up the good work girlies! :T0 -

Well done. I did the same last night. I have never shopped on that site before and am getting more nervous of online shopping since the LUSH hack.
I'm not saying I don't want the voucher and haven't looked at it several times - it is tempting me but I am finding that I have now broken the pattern of 'constant shopping' so it's gradually getting easier....those glamour magazine are still staring at me from the little corner shop though! :rotfl:
I only ever had one purchase on ebay and it was a DVD box set. It was a complete fake, I felt so ripped off and put in the bin. I have never been back to ebay since. Probably not a bad thing......
Feeling a bit glum today....usually I would go to the shops to cheer myself but am fighting that urge very hard.....eating crisps instead.:(Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
