I went in to debenhams to take advantage of the 10% off for my friend's birthday and it turned out on top of the discount, L'occitane were doing 'buy two things get a shower gel free'. So I got two gifts and one shower gel for me. Not terrible I think, and I can always use it as a gift if a birthday comes up before I get round to it!Please don't tell me things like this! I could do with a new tube of L'occitane Lavender hand cream but can't think of anything else I need nor do I need a shower gel! Keep strong Val, keep strong!
Had a small UU this morning : sample size of Benefit That Gal Primer. Was lovely. Emma has a tube of this which I may have to liberate her of once I've worked my way through my Smashbox Photo Finish primer.
This is torture! Admittedly I have at least 3 unopened hand creams in my stash. But the words free gift... no! I will resist!
I did just buy a certain magazine. Two actuallyOne for me with long last lipgloss, one for sister with lipstick. But on lookout for makeup remover one. Might give gloss to other sister if can bring myself to.
Also bought the mag with free cowshed body lotion. It was spur of the moment buy, thought it was shower gel. Added yet another lotion to my collection. See you on the naughty step :-<No buying unnecessary toiletries/makeup in May: Unnecessary spend £17.60

I'm in this month too.
I'm stuck at home for the next couple of days- on friday I was taken into hospital with awful abdominal pains and on sunday i had a huge ovarian cyst removed. Back home today and i'm in agony
Hi to all the newbies!
i know how much pain you were in/are in as in 2009 i had really bad stomache pains went to the hospital and found out i had a cyst on both ovaries of which one had burst and my stomache had started to fill up with poison and the other one was ready to burst i ended up having a ovarie out and stayed in hospital for a week. so sending you a really big dodgy hug and hope you feel better soon. :grouphug:
just wanted to say that now else i will forget so now going back to page 4 to carry on where i left of.0 -
Oh Lilly and Mingle - those both sound like awful times. Gentle hugs.
Re the er magazine that we are not mentioning.....I just gave a couple to the girls at work who were thrilled (minus the gift, obviously.)
What is the concensus - is this a toiletry or magazine purchase? :rotfl:I think I have to count as toiletry since i haven't even read the magazine(s). Suppose I'll keep one....!!
A certain friend of mine (who shall remain nameless as she reads this) had me get her another one at lunchtime too as they didn't have the freebie she wanted in her area- then just out of curiosity (ok boredom) I went to a few shops and each one seemed to have more of a different item. The ones in Tescos seem to have had half the freebies shoplifted already....oh dear. Right, better update my signature for March (already, oh dear)....but I think this is still a minor offence....
- I'll just look at the naughty step for a few days....
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
I have never come across this thread before and I am relieved to find out I am not the only one with boxes full of stuff I don't use!! I will be trying the March challenge. I was in Boots last week and somehow spent £68 - I honeslty don't know how I end up spending that much, I only went in for one item!!0

Help me. Please tell me I don't need this, and it won't make me look amazing as per the advertising.

Welcome amurphy, you are definitely not the only one.Help me. Please tell me I don't need this, and it won't make me look amazing as per the advertising.
You do not NEED it, still a lot of money aswell.
Went to b**ts today to exchange some items that I had managed to duplicate (ok quadruplicate) after looking around for ages I realised there was nothing I wanted so just got a refund in the end.
So out for me today was no7 blemish serum x 2, already have another 2 and they last ages and no7 lift and luminate eye cream, already have one on the go, lovely stuff but it will last ages at this rate and have picked up glamour today with the clinique eye cream so it really wasn't needed. The devil makes works for idle hands0 -
I picked up 2 Glamours today, one with DD lotion, the other with Moisture Surge. I went into 2 different shops (so the SA didn't think I was deranged), there were no eyecreams or make up removers to be had in either shop so the search continues. I'm not bothered about the make up so those are the only 4 freebies I want really. I resisted the Marie-Claire with the Cowshed lotion. I have many lotions & butters already, and I wasn't overly impressed with the free shower gel I got last time.
While I was in Asda, I was drawn to the toiletries aisle, I knew there was a bargain somewhere and I found it. N-Spa Loving Blush Shower & Bath Gel 500ml for £1, left over from Valentines I think. It smells delicious, its Sweetheart Strawberry apparently. I don't need it though, of course
Then I got home to find that the FCUK Pure scrub I bought on eBay had been delivered through the cat flap along with a Caudalie moisturiser, which is a freebie from my new Glamour subscription0
