OUT in this morning's bath - Lush The Ex Factor bath ballistic. WIBA? Yes, it smelt really nice and made the water an amazing shade of swimming pool esque blue, but it's a Valentine's limited edition so I'll have to wait until next year.
I'm going to swing by Debenhams this afternoon between trains as I need some more of my Benefit foundation, so I might treat myself to either Clarins Beauty Flash Balm or YSL Touche Eclat to go over the spend threshold, and then possibly spend the rewards (as the extra points will take me to £15 worth of freebies) on the other product in a few weeks' time. However I'd probably only count the Beauty Flash Balm as an IN as I generally don't include make-up...
Do you use Hello Flawless? That's my UU for today. I've tried to get out from the edges, but it cracked & went over my jeansThey've changed shades too so need to be re-matched. I wasn't going to but it again til used up my EL liquid foundation, but this is just so easy to put on & touch-up when out.
No buying unnecessary toiletries/makeup in May: Unnecessary spend £17.60
May INs: 14 UUs/OUTs/GAs: 11
2012 INs: 77 UUs/OUTs/GAs: 91
Savings from UUs: £60.50

Was pleasantly surprised to see a good selection of the clinique freebies with Glamour, went to the local garage after the school run and got more or less what i wanted, can't find one with the take the day off in though. Have tried the superbalm gloss and think it's lovely, lasts really well.
A little uu for me last night a sachet of superdrug chocolate mask, was enough in for two uses really but I'd ripped the whole thing open, smelt lovely, really chocolatey, kept catching sight of myself in the bathroom mirror with it on, it looked hilarious:DThe devil makes works for idle hands0 -
Hello all! Have UU a toothpaste and a stila lip gloss, so a good start to March. Will buy both again. Have bought one Glamour for the lip gloss, might buy another, and I'm afraid I also bought a bronzer in Poundland when I went in for some compost - but better Poundland than Debenhams, I suppose :rotfl:0

No, I'm a Playsticks girl - that in Spin The Bottle is about the only foundation I've ever found which is pale enough for me! It is quite expensive but it's my HG foundation as I can get three months of wearing it every day out of one tube and in the year or so I've been using it it's made a big difference to my skin (I used to get terrible breakouts and redness but this has really helped to tone all that down)."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -

One IN to report: L'occitane cherry blossom shower gel
I went in to debenhams to take advantage of the 10% off for my friend's birthday and it turned out on top of the discount, L'occitane were doing 'buy two things get a shower gel free'. So I got two gifts and one shower gel for me. Not terrible I think, and I can always use it as a gift if a birthday comes up before I get round to it!Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0 -

keep warm ladies "see"you in a couple of weeks:)
So jealous (especially as I'm frozen at the mo!!) Hope you have a lovely holiday x
I'm loving the pics posted by others - VALM and sawan, what lovely colours! What exactly is the 'nail effects' thing though? Who sells it? (Not that I would ever buy of course )minerva_windsong wrote: »
The nail effects stuff (which some brands like OPI call 'crackle' or 'shatter' polish) basically goes on over your polish like a normal nail varnish, and then I think the exposure to air causes something in it to split so you can see your coloured polish underneath. Generally the thicker the layer, the fewer splits there are in the polish, so I like to put it on quite thinly.
I have the Barry M one which I think costs about £4 for one bottle (so slightly more expensive than a normal Barry M polish but will last twice as long as you only need one coat) but OPI also sell it for around £10 a bottle although I've found the Barry M one perfectly OK. It looks like a normal black polish in the bottle so if you do get some look for the crackle effect on the lid. A couple of the US brands like China Glaze have started doing coloured crackle as well which works in the same way.
The BarryM version always seems to be sold out in stores - I bought them online (1.95 P&P for orders under £10)XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0 -

Please don't tell me things like this! I could do with a new tube of L'occitane Lavender hand cream but can't think of anything else I need nor do I need a shower gel! Keep strong Val, keep strong!
Had a small UU this morning : sample size of Benefit That Gal Primer. Was lovely. Emma has a tube of this which I may have to liberate her of once I've worked my way through my Smashbox Photo Finish primer.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Fogot to list my UUs!!
Avon Treselle shower gel - WIBA? I love the smell and it makes me feel pampered so I might do, but can I justify the cost when the Avon's 500ml Senses shower gels offer such better value? Also have a problem in that its a clear shower gel and as a glasses wearer, i find it easier to see how much gel I've squeezed out if its coloured.
Pantene light shampoo - dunno if it made my hair "swish" its too short to move muchActually this was my daughters shampoo that she hadnt quite finished, but had gone onto a new bottle. WIBA? On special offer - but its nothing "wow" Also have the same problem as with the treselle - cant see it as its clear!
Three spluttering toothpastes - it's bin day today, so chucked them all in the rubbish bag. WIBA? I have no loyalty for toothpastes - whatever's on offer is fine! I havent replaced these as there's already other toothpastes being used.
Binned:
Enormous bar of soap from the shower - cant remember what brand it was - but its been there for several months now and had started to smell rank! Will be replaced later with nice normal size bar from the stash.
Sally Hanson Triple strong - looks like someone didnt put the lid back on properly  and its far too thick now to do anything with. Guess that's the problem with leaving toiletries in the bathroom and having kids in the house! WIBA? I was disappointed tbh - I think the Maximum Growth worked better for me.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0
