No Buying Toiletries in March Challenge

When I was in Wilkinson's on Friday I checked out their body brushes, Lemon Tree had mentioned having a very scratchy Sanctuary one. Wilkinson's have a nice softish one for £2 that has a detachable long handle, so it can be used wet as a bath brush and dry as a body brush.
It appears identical to the pound shop one that I bought years ago that is my favourite. (I never used the long handle, it came in handy for stirring paint, iirc.)Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

I saw a Cosmo kabuki in Bodycare yesterday as well. Would have gone back for it had I been on my own but MrM was really whinging that "we have come out here for nothing" so didn't bother. The annoying thing is that I have a kabuki already (wanted a spare to put in my handbag) which I got form NO7 but you can only get it with the mineral blush and I've already chucked that out because it was so highly pigmented no matter how careful I was I ended up looking like Aunt Sally. Will have a nosey in Mr T's thanks.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Bumper UU this morning.
Elemis Cleanser 200ml Really liked this and felt that it worked well with my skin. It seemed to calm down my spots.
Elemis Toner 200ml Again liked this not too drying for my skin.
WIBA - Yes but not now as I am now moving onto Clinique Liquid Soap and Clarifing lotion.
Atrixo Hand Cream 150ml Very :money: as I opened this in November and used at least every day and it was very cheap to buy. WIBA yes it worked well not too greasy. As previously posted I have now opened my Cowshed hand cream.
Fake Bake Body Moisturiser 170ml Part of a set and still have the body polish on the go. WNBA as it was very expensive and if I was going to spend a lot on a luxuary body lotion I would go with a Clarins one. I am now moving onto my last jaspen Conran Body lotion that must be 4 years old. Still smells ok though.
And an OUT that I have binned Toni & Guy Texture Paste. I think it is so old it is not working and has left me with a bad hair day every day of this week.
Off now to update my sig and rumage in my bag for £10 to put in my pot.
Also an IN to report Tigi Bedhead Hard to Get Texturising Paste :j No more bad hair days anymore.
Have a nice Sunday.

Regarding supposed ease of application, sorry, but Clairol are having you on in my experience.
If you are one of those people who do make a mess no matter how hard they try, then it's just as messy as the colours in the pound shop. Mine was messier actually - the foam applicator gave a huge splutter as I squeezed it and the stuff went everywhere.
At least the 25 minutes development time passed quickly, as I spent it cleaning up the mess in the bathroom.
Conditioner appears to be the same formulation as the Perfect 10 - nice stuff, but in a sachet that defeated scissors, I had to open it with my teeth. I can still taste it, blech.
Colour of mid brown more like dark brown, as expected. Lavish application of Vaseline saved my face, neck and hairline from going dark brown too, the foam drips just like any other colour.
Plus points? No applicator tops to saw through with scissors, mixed easily, gloves fitted my long hands.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:That was handy! I hate waiting for colour to developI want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0 -
No its not from Boots. Ages ago I signed up for clixresearch and filled out a profile. Every now and then they send me invites to trials. Dont get paid for this, but get to keep the product.
This time its a ultra sensitive face serum from Zoe and made in Switzerland to be used for 2 weeks.0 -

Feel terrible now as the above are all unnecessary purchases but I was feeling a little upset at the time and filling up my basket felt quite nice.Next time I will pop into mothercare instead.
I will need foundation in a few days but I always use maxfactor experience and maxfactor face powder so a highly likely £15ish spend in boots next week if I don't get on with the rimmel.
UU-Bic aloe razors .WIBA yes will try to find a bogof offer.
ummm sonee - theres a distinct lack of gripewater on your shopping list - hope you remembered it !!!! :rotfl:Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -

Despite the 5 coats my nail varnish has chipped again. It happened somehow putting the washing out. I think i'm going to give up and put some clear on then it won't notice so much.
If it could my S&G Righteous Butter would be spluttering by now. I can see the bottom. A few more days i reckon and it'll be UU.0 -
:rotfl:You can just take your LYB card into BS and they will knock £5 off for you there and then, you don't need to wait, just make sure you write your DOB on the card, they did this for me without any problem.
On the subject of Body butters, superdrug's own brand are lovely, I think they are called naturals, and are £3.87 ish, as good as BS but 1/3 of the price. HTH
Thanks for that - will go to BS before the end of the month - maybe for the foot scrub.DON'T PANIC !! no chance of me getting obsessed with nail varnish guys, I HAVE HORRIBLE SHORT STUBBY NAILS!!!!! wouldn't dream of putting anything on them!
My nails are also short (because I bite them) but when I had my eyebrows done last week I thought I would ask about them and they said that they could sort them out -so fingers crossed for Tuesday then when I have my first nail appointment in seven years -shall I ask for crackle?:rotfl:i've recently tried the Boots Fairtrade Extracts body butters. Bought a set of 50ml jars on the sale and have used one of them : mango. It's very creamy. Only gripe is the tub didn't go very far.
My other favourites are S&G Spa and TBS Cherry Blossom. I also love Bath and Body Works. Not sure if they still have any stores in the UK - I bought mine in the US and plan to stock up on more when I'm over there in October.
Thanks I will look out for these - I have been using the L'occitane Ylang Ylang Body Butter and was not too impressed as it didn't even smell anything like ylang ylang and to buy similar again would cost £15.00 for 100ml and I think that is too expensive unless it is in the sale.0 -
UU - Dove spa day moisturiser. WIBA yes feels lovely on my skin and lasted a couple of months but is around £28 I think...luckily mine was a freebie at the spa:)Debt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0
