Sorry for not having been around for a while, but I've had a stunningly boring month so far, no ins, no outs and no splutters.
But I treated myself to a bath this evening and I reckon I've got enough bubble bath left for one more bath (prob treat myself on tuesday).
I'm thinking about investing in some shaving gel though, don't usually bother with it but I'm taking part in the bzzagent trial of the new Braun epilator and my legs have been feeling really dry straight after I've used it, thankfully the shower puff I use with the shower gel does a decent enough job of keeping the hairs from going in growing though - I know others use conditioner but I having tried it I don't find mine helps at all. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Had 2 UU's last night after my bath. 1 mens face cream in blue glass jar (nivea) and a face cream in a little tube (also nivea), Have started on the face cream in the white glass bottles now too.
WIBA?: Nope, they're for boys!
Just shoving a sarnie down my neck, very busy again so only just got my break. Never mind, home in 2 hours.

Morning all
2 x UU's this week:
- 1 x travel shampoo used as shower gel
- 1 x hair dye - Loreal Sublime Mousse - WIBA? yes, so easy to use, non drip (unlike the other foam ones!) and lovely colour and shine.
I also resisted buying Clinique stuff for the GWPthough only cos my friend in Canada is sending some Clinique stuff over for me for my birthday!

Could anyone tell me if the BS foot scrub or Liz Earle foot scrub is any good or if anyone uses one they really like? My feet need something stronger than a general body scrub and the LE one and BS one seem to get good reviews.
Also, what body butters do people like as I getting to the end of mine but don't know which one to buy next? TIA:)
i've recently tried the Boots Fairtrade Extracts body butters. Bought a set of 50ml jars on the sale and have used one of them : mango. It's very creamy. Only gripe is the tub didn't go very far.
My other favourites are S&G Spa and TBS Cherry Blossom. I also love Bath and Body Works. Not sure if they still have any stores in the UK - I bought mine in the US and plan to stock up on more when I'm over there in October.Lemon_Tree wrote: »no i don't often wear nail polish because my nails always break, split or dry out when i use it.
Actually i was wondering if any one can give me some advice about weak, brittle, dry nails. At the moment i'm rubbing the Sanctury Kyphi shea salve in every night (not sure how else to use it basically cos it's solid and in a tin) but it doesn't seem to be making much difference. I do suffer from excema and very dry skin so i wonder if this is causing my nail problems.
Try investing in a bottle of OPI Nail Envy (QVC may be the best place as they sell them in discounted kits and if you don't get on with it you can send it back) and a Leighton Denny crystal file (again from QVC or Boots do sell them). I swear by the file. It's made a huge difference to my nails which grow so strong now.
Am going to add another layer of lacquer to my nails as well now hollyh cos I've got some tipwear. It's washing up that does this - keep asking for a dishwasher but my pleas fall on deaf ears.
Was very good yesterday although I was trying to spend my Boots voucher. Went into Ashton as this is the nearest place with a branch of Bodycare. Calm down I was only after the Bolsius tea lights that I like. They had none. Didn't have a chance to look around because MrM was bored. Went into Boots planning to pick up either some muslin clothes and buy 342 using the voucher as well but again couldn't find any. Decided I would get a new kabuki brush but No.7 don't sell them and the price of the other brands were a bit steep. Came away with nothing! How good am I?
Went into TBS but only to have a sniff at the things I've ordered online. Can't wait for the new Lemon and Thyme shower gel to arrive as this smelt lush. Just had a look at my TBS account and it says the status is "Y2". Any TBS users know what this means?
Have a good day everyone. We are returning to Ashton today to book our holiday for next year! Won't be going in any beauty shops though honest.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I've had a hectic time of things of late and haven't had time to post. I've finally caught up and read all the posts though as I didn't want to miss out on any gossip! There have been too many events to comment on individually though but be assured that I have been sharing the sorrow/joy/excitement/fun/laughter.
I've been keeping a note of ins/uu's, so here we go:
UU
FCUK Body Butter 50 ml - WIBA? Yes, definitely. I'm a big fan of FCUK and as I've come to expect, this smelt and felt lovely and was effective.
Ted Baker Bodywear Invigorating Body Wash WIBA? No, I wasn't keen on the smell. Except for some body spray that I like, I'm not a TB fan.
Sachet of Garnier Intensive 7 Days Body Lotion 6 ml. WIBA? Maybe, it smelt and felt quite nice, but more of a lotion for the summer as it has a light feel.
Clairol Nice 'n Easy Colour Blend Foam in Light Ash Brown. WIBA? Yes, I would buy the product again (and have a voucher for a freebie) but I would go for a lighter shade as this has come out quite dark, probably better suited to the winter months rather than the spring.
Small tube of L'Oreal Derma Genesis Night Cream. WIBA? Yes, This is the first night cream that I have persevered with. It suited my skin whereas other ones I've tried have made me come out in spots.
Skin Therapy 3-in-1 Facial Wipes. WIBA? Maybe if a good offer. I have another pack which I have moved on to straight away but I prefer Tesco Vitamin E Wipes.
Herbal Essences Conditioner for Dry/Damaged Hair. WIBA? Yes, HE suits my hair, but surprise surprise I have more HE in the stash.
Radox Muscle Soak Herbal Bath 500 ml. WIBA? Yes. My OH had a bath the other night and I got him to use the last of it up. The bathroom smells lovely after using this.
Ins
I caved in to buying the Marie Claire magazine to get the Cowshed Body Lotion. Got the Moody Cow variety.
In either Glamour or Marie Claire there was a 6 ml sachet of Garnier Intensive 7 Days Body Lotion (see above)
I went in Lloyds to buy some Bonjela and also came out with one of the fab buy 1 get 2 free offers: 3 x Clairol Root Touch Up kits for a total sum of £3.0 -

Feel terrible now as the above are all unnecessary purchases but I was feeling a little upset at the time and filling up my basket felt quite nice.Next time I will pop into mothercare instead.
I will need foundation in a few days but I always use maxfactor experience and maxfactor face powder so a highly likely £15ish spend in boots next week if I don't get on with the rimmel.

Guys, slightly off-topic, do any of you use TCB or Quidco? I'm not signed up with any cashback site, and always back down when thinking about it. Is it worth it and is it secure??
It can be on-topic as I was looking at the TCB/free LYB card deal - just for general knowledge of course. TIA
I'm with both of them. I usually use TopCashBack unless the offer is only available on Quidco. Both site usually track well for me.0 -

VALM - Have a look in Tesco if you have one nearby - I picked a Cosmopolitan kabuki brush up in there for 86p! The SEL was marked as £1.73 (reduced from £8 odd )and it was hanging up in a silvery pouch with the make up tools. Good little brush too!I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0 -
bought shampoo yesterday but not counting it in my figures because it's not something I stash away
my l'occitane hand lotion is still spluttering - it's been beside my bed for nearly 3 months and just won't end!0 -
Was out from 7 am to 9pm yesterday, so too shattered to do the Clairol Foam - have just done it now.
Regarding supposed ease of application, sorry, but Clairol are having you on in my experience.
If you are one of those people who do make a mess no matter how hard they try, then it's just as messy as the colours in the pound shop. Mine was messier actually - the foam applicator gave a huge splutter as I squeezed it and the stuff went everywhere.
At least the 25 minutes development time passed quickly, as I spent it cleaning up the mess in the bathroom.
Conditioner appears to be the same formulation as the Perfect 10 - nice stuff, but in a sachet that defeated scissors, I had to open it with my teeth. I can still taste it, blech.
Colour of mid brown more like dark brown, as expected. Lavish application of Vaseline saved my face, neck and hairline from going dark brown too, the foam drips just like any other colour.
Plus points? No applicator tops to saw through with scissors, mixed easily, gloves fitted my long hands.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0
