evening ladies,
hope you've all had a good weekend, I had a mad day yesterday, went clay pigeon shooting (and my shoulder aches now)and zorbing, which is essentially where you get strapped inside a big rubber ball and roll down a hill - it was terrifying but amazing!
loving all the nail varnish photos, EH that is a gorgeous shade of blue!
some of the stashes are mouthwatering too
I have a few uu's to report:
Aussie heat defence conditioner - was a bit disappointed with this tbh, I love their 3 minute miracle and was hoping that this might be a good daily conditioner but it really was nothing special
Tresemme 24hr volume mousse - I don't think I'll buy this again as I don't think it warrants the RRP, would like to find something a bit cheaper,
Tigi Superstar Shampoo - definitely won't but this, it smells vaguely of strawberries and is not a great volumising shampoo
Also one chuck out - a sample of Thierry Mugler Womanity perfume - stupid name - horrid smell.
Happy pampering, xx0 -
another UU to report - Sanctury Pumice Foot scrub - WNBA, it was part of a gift set that i had, it kept staring at me from the shelf in the bathroom so i used it as a body scrub. Smelt horrible, but then i guess it was designed for feet so that would explain it.
Think my Dove Invisible deodrant will finish tomorrow - i've already got the green sensitive one out ready to take it's place. I much prefer the green one, but i do love the Dove deodrants.
Gonna go back and read today's posts. See you later0 -

It appears identical to the pound shop one that I bought years ago that is my favourite. (I never used the long handle, it came in handy for stirring paint, iirc.)
Thank you for remembering this, i will definitely pop to wilko's the ext time i'm in the big town I try not to go there though because of all the nice shops0 -
Interesting to read the different experiences with the Clairol Foam! Since I posted my son went in the bathroom and said "Mum, I'm not being funny, but how come you made such a mess with the hair dye?":rotfl:
I have to see the funny side - "It's a new one, it's less tricky to use..."
I'm glad your colour went well Trudi, after the fiasco you had with the Perfect 10.I know you do hair neatly, judging by pics (including manes in this)
... I'm just a bit of a naturally messy person.
I do feel a bit guiltyas it was a freebie, but on the other hand I wonder if the Clairol marketing meeting went like this....
"The blind testings of the foam have been a disaster - the foam goes everywhere apparently"
"Oh that's easy. We'll use the same psychology as we did with the Perfect 10 that needed 25 minutes - we'll tell them it's less messy and they'll believe us. When it isn't, they'll think it's just them."
"Good call. What about the Perfect 10?"
"Oh, tell them they couldn't have followed the instructions if they complain. Put 'Leave on for longer for deeper colour' in the smallest print possible somewhere unlikely in the instructions"...
Many a true word spoken in jest, perhaps?!Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Thanks for the replies about the Simple range. I have told my sister that the Simple range isn't all it's cracked up to be. I did suggest the Vit E stuff that she could try and she seemed quite keen to maybe try that next.
She's not very savvy when it comes to shopping and doesn't spend time on the net checking out the best prices so I have to do it for her. Will tell her all your comments and maybe suggest she buys something like Vit E next time. At least the Vit E stuff isn't too expensive so that will go down well too.
She is also keen to try a face scrub as well so being the good sister I am have told her she can have one of my many face scrubs so that will be one out for me the next time I see her. I wonder if there's anything else I can palm off onto herDid owe £9,951.96

Some advice required - I may lose my job this year - should I stop buying these bargains or should I be stocking up whilst they are cheap to ensure I have a good stash to keep me through the hard times?? I've got friends and family to make sure I don't starve and I work in London so am sure I can get something else, but it may well be a pay cut or part timeooh that could be fun.
Haven't heard from Roshy in a while?
As someone else wisely pointed out there will always be another offer or glitch so instead of stocking up why don't you save the money you would have otherwise spent on toiletries, that way you'll have the cash if you need it
Fingers crossed this won't happen and your job will be safe, xx0 -
Evening all!
Just popping in to report another couple of bottles transferred from the shower to the bin, neither of them mine originally, but happy to use them up. No ins this week!
S&G hair supply http://www.soapandglory.com/products/bath-body/hair-supply. Just like a nice conditioner imo, but was horrified to see the price, £6 for such a small tube. Outrageous! Think it must have come as part of a set or the hatbox originally. WIBA? Not at that price!
Also a big Pantene Ice Shine conditioner...yeah well that was fine too!
Must say the tablet of BS Moringa soap is lovely, really soft and creamy, loads of fragrance and lots of creamy suds and a nice shape to hold! Gorgeous in the shower! Very impressed and bargain price too! :T
I need something to 'glue' my eyebrows into place to make them look more groomed. Everytime I look at a photo of myself, they seem to have brushed downwards again , inside of sleeked up in a nice (eye-lifting) arch! Have tried a cheapie clear mascara but doesn't really make any difference, they are too wilful I fear.
Any hardcore eyebrow-taming suggestions ladies?0 -
OMG :eek::eek::eek::eek: so many people on the naughty step!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been quite good - went shopping to Superdrug with the kids as the girls needed a few bits and I've got one IN: Sure crystal clear diamond deodorant. It was £2.99 for two and my daughter wanted to try it, so rather than pay £2.87 for one I figured I might as well get one too as I was interested to see if this "Incredible white mark protection" claim is true!
Although...................you know how you have a quick sniff of new deodorants to make sure they dont smell rank?..................well I somehow misdirected and sprayed at very close range a huge white blob on my black tshirt!!!!Cue...one hysterical daughter and me trying to remove the evidence while walking away from her!

I've heard quite a few people on here say they love Dove deodorants - my daughters do too. But after me complaining about the yellow underarm stains on dd2 white school polo shirts - its definately one of the dove deodorants thats causing it.
I mentioned earlier today that I didnt see any yellow stains on this weeks white washing and she said - oh I've been using the green Sure this week instead. Was so nice not to have to get the bleach out!XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0 -

And finally, I went for the 4 M&S bodybutters at £7.68
I think I should be strapped to the naughty step :rotfl:
Will you let us know how you get on with the S&G Glow Job, I quite fancy trying this sometime in the next 10 years.juliebunny wrote: »Kaz I love your dedication to popping in to 'see us' at these ungodly hours! Not sure exactly what you do - something like nursing I'm guessing from your comments - but I'm definitely going to ask for you if I need overnight care, LOL!!
Hope you are feeling better, we are here for you :grouphug: if you need any sisterly support.
Could you maybe take some of the stuff back to make you feel better or is it too dangerous to go back in case you come out with more than you went in with again....?
Hmmm, nice try!! Are they 'gifts' for you?
Maybe my cats will get me a mothers day pressie :rotfl:
I'm doing ok ish this week. Have resisted the BS 50% off online (how hard was THAT!! - I almost crumbled friday pm by which time it had run out :D), aswell as the No 7 voucher and a nivea money off voucher...did get a few bits today....boots clearance corner dove handwash 50p (but paid with points) then Savers nail varnish remover and cotton wool pads.

Juliebunny - hope thinks pick up and you don't lose your job. I was also wondering about roshydoshy, hope she's OK.Just done a CTM with a face scrub thrown as felt I should have a conversation I've just had with my sister who has just decided to start a proper cleansing routine and was asking her how she was getting on.
She was recommended the Simple range by the lady in Boots as she says she has dry, sensitive skin and didn't know what to try for starters.
She said she has been using it on a regular basis (only since last weekend) but has come out in a break out. I have told her that this is natural and she is to perservere for a few more weeks but I was just wondering what else she could try if she finds she really doesn't get on with Simple products. Something relatively cheap but effective would be good.
I'm trying to remember some of the recommendations from on here but my mind's gone blank.
I don't like Simple either, didn't bring me out in spots, my skin just looked dull. Nivea is a good budget range, lovely cleansers and toners, lots of different moisturisers to choose from and that lovely comforting nivea smell, aahhh.......
One little uu for me, a sachet of Superdrug exfoliating superfruits face mask (or something like that), smelt lovely, bit like smearing your face with muller cranberry and raspberry yoghurt. Nice to use and WBA, 99p is cheap initially but if you think how many uses you get from a 50ml tube this is quite expensive.
Finally I have sorted my 7 yr old DD's hair problem out, solid coconut oil. Have applied it after towel drying her hair, just a tiny bit, and now we can comb it through everyday without screaming at each other. Her hair looks fab, very shiny and when I comb it is silent IYKWIM, before it was rustly and dry.The devil makes works for idle hands0
