Got it sorted-took time off work to get it sorted. i went back into the shop with my mom and felt so nervous, felt they were all staring at me and i asked to speak to a manager and this woman came over who had sorted out the 2nd deal for me, anyway the same old thing-it's a good deal etc bla bla bla came out her mouth and i was like i just want to return it and she phoned head office and they spoke to me and i said it was too much and i was worried cos i am only in a temporary job-even though i had said this from the start and they said they would cancel this contract :j  and when i was in full-time employment to call them and get another one-as if . and she wrote VOID on my aggreement and date of return etc and i also went into the bank and cancelled the DD. I just hope that is the end of the matter. It's funny how i phoned Customer service and now it's suddenly not a problem to return a phone if i wish and this other male manager was no where to be seen today-funny that.Halifax-Limit-£500-Balance-£0

I just hope that it is now all over and i don't get anything in the post saying i owe them money-unless it's for a weeks line rental, then fair enough.Halifax-Limit-£500-Balance-£0

I'm also now wondering whether to write a letter of complaint about how i was treated by the sales manager.Halifax-Limit-£500-Balance-£0

Deffo write to them - be fair but firm - I'd take this line:
I feel it is my duty to report the downright disgraceful treatment I received to trading standards, watchdog & as may online feedback sites & forums that I can. I would hate to stand by while some other vulnerable person like myself is bullied into a contract by the rogue staff at the .... store and then refused their legal right to cancel the contract. This incident has cost me significantly financially (having to take time off work to visit the store for the ...th time in the end) & immeasurable distress over ... days from hell. I think I'd feel safer buying my pay & go phone from Hong Kong on eBay.
What have you got to lose? Fiver says you'll get a meaningful (financially beneficial) apology!Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0 -
even the girl who sorted it out today looked fed-up, i don't know whether that was in general or cos of me, even another sales member came upto her and said you look "fed Up". it's not exactly professional is it to look fed up infront of a customer.Halifax-Limit-£500-Balance-£0
