Then you will also be aware of the duty to house, reasonable preferance, one offer, provision of temp, etc etc etc, Yet still you bang on about your fantasy "immigrant".

yes well aware thanks.... and best you check your facts, because where I live, it is not one offer, and I am hardly banging on...I mentioned it once...but please feel free to come down to my A and E department...you can see the imaginary imigrant for yourself. I suggest if you want to pass comment on my situation...you get the facts straight first. oh thats right..you know nothing about my situation do you. military housing is completely different circumstances. does make me chuckle when everyone else thinks they know everything!

Don't you like people making assumptions on your circumstances based on a small amount of information?

Oh wait isn't that what you did?

What's good for the goose etc.

no not at all...the person I heard was openly saying how easy it was to cheat the system....and how they had twisted a few facts around. hardly fair is it. not that I am saying he will be the only person ever to do that....I'm saying its not fair on people who have genuine issues and tell the truth.

The facts are well documented. Section VII, 1996 Housing Act covers homelessness. Section 193 covers the discharge of any duty to house. If you check out S193(5) THAT is where the one offer is described. But all that will have been advised to you in the letter sent accepting a duty to house.

Just as a matter of interest, within 1 DAY of leaving your military accommodation, you were housed, by the council, in a 2 bed flat. Unlike this "immigrant" you mention, who, if we accept that they even exist (and I don't), had to wait 2 weeks.

People like YOU? The Council have provided accommodation as soon as you needed it. What MORE do you want?

WE have been on council house for 4 years....

But silly us... we got a job and got married before we decided we should have children... now we are in a privately rented 2 bed house witht he 5 of us...

Overheard woman in Tesco earlier saying how she went out and 'got' pregnant so she could jack her job in - council just given her a brand new 2 bed house all bills paid.....

    I am fumming :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Takes me back as to when we first applied and the chap there told us we have no chance.... even suguested that if i were on my own with the kids we may have better luck !!!

Still her baby deffetley fell from the ugly tree.. obviously it dark in the 'club'

What an awful thing to say, especially when you have children of your own. Picking on a defenceless and innocent baby because you're angry at something you 'overheard' it's Mother say!

A 2 bed wouldn't do you anyway, so what are you moaning about?

Try being on the list for 10+ years, then you might get offered something.

P.S. your posts are so hard to understand, it took me a couple of tries to dechiper the first sentence.

i think animum is obviously getting confused between offers of interim accommodation and settled accom.

animum- you seem to be the only one who does not know what they are talking about. So you WERE homeless, not TECHNICALLY homeless.

OP- what you are doing is just as bad as these imaginary 'immigrants', you have bred three kids in a 2 bed house and are now feeling sorry for yourself because you are relying on the council to house you, and they have told you that you are not a priority, simple as
Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day, and for once I'm inclined to believe Withnail is right. We are indeed drifting into the arena of the unwell.

yes homeless....technically was my own word. sorry for any confusion. its a long story but basically you get an official eviction date from the Army, the council (in my area) dont do anything until you have gone over that date. then the Army can literally just throw you out. and if anyone thinks that does not happen..well it does...wether you have children or not, and quite frankly it is quite scary. but then maybe I should stay with an abusive alchy husband_- I dont think so. its only now two years later after "bidding " on every property that comes up, of which round here there are really not a lot...usually around 2 per week ( for my suitability, which is 2 bed) . I work, have a professional job, but cannot work all hours due to a small child. I have no problem with immigrants at all....I would be just as peeved if it was a non immigrant saying what I heard. rents are extortionate and if it wasnt for the help of a very good friend....I would be in a much worse position. why would I want to make up an immigrant? bit bizarre ! I treat plenty of immigrants and non immigrants every day. I just think more checks should be made on peoples true circumstances before they are housed. anyway, thats all I am saying on the matter....I have to go to work soon!

Who are you to dictate what people do with their lives. We are living in the 21st century here not everyone wants to get married and then have kids. We live in a society that is generally quite acceptant of peoples choices. If you do not like that perhaps youd be better off housed in north korea...
Very happy not to dictate to others what they should do with their lives, provided that they are not asking me, and others like me, to pay for those (often poor) choices through taxation that could be better spent elsewhere.
