HI Bonnington.
You are doing well with the running. I am back walking but to be honest I am not finding it easy. I do alot of gardening and heavy work but its not shifting the weight so I need to up the anti too.
I also have had a look at my spending especially on food and realised just how much I have been over budget. So Mr A is starting his trips to my house again and will try and make sure I have everything in bar a few bits bread etc for the week. I can but try.
Keep going and I hope you see some interest in the house soon.
take care:)0 -
Glad Mrs B is enjoying work now, does she want to leave because of the stress? Just I was thinking perhaps running the b&b or hotel would double the amount of hours and stress on her? Well done on all the running. I've slacked off on the gym lately must get back to itMortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. Oh Blimey Bonnington 6 hours. You will be sore tomorrow. So much work and its continuous. I cut my grass a couple of days ago and it literally grew overnight
Hope you get the chance to get a run tomorrow.
You must be pretty pleased with the work you got done over the weekend?0 -

I'm going back to work tomorrow for a rest. :rotfl:
I'm undecided to cancel my holiday at the end of June. I will need to see if there is any holiday hours available at the beginning of August first.

Hi Bonnington this made me smile.:) Sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day. You are making progress even though you may not see it.

hi Bonnington.
Good to hear from you. Delighted to hear that your blood pressure level is good. Try not to stress yourself though it is hard not to. When will your wife know about her work?
It must be sad to see your house looking well and feeling that you can't enjoy it. Something will sort itself out soon Bonnington. The old saying of what is for you wont pass you.
Maybe there is something that your wife can do and stay at home. Does she make curtains or cushions. Cushions sell for good money on ebay or does she have another craft that she could utilise.
What about a cabin in your own grounds or and outbuilding that could be turned into a holiday home?
What about child minding or are you too rural for that.
Could your wife become an online secretary/personal assistant if she has secretarial or accountancy skills.
Try not to worry and enjoy each day as it comes. No matter what life throws at us we make it through.
Take care of yourself Bonnington0 -
Tip for finding something you can sell from home:
1) Browse around AliExpress.com for suitable items. You're looking for something that's lightweight and will fit into Royal Mail's Large Letter size. Ideally it needs to be something that you or Mrs B are interested in, but it's surprisingly easy to get interested about something that's making you money.
2) Once you have a shortlist of possibles, sign up for a 7-day free trial of Terapeak (you have to give them your card details, but I had no problems cancelling when I first tried it - I now have an annual subscription and find it invaluable). Check out sales data for your shortlist.
3) If there's something on your shortlist that's selling well which you can buy at a price which will give you a decent margin - bingo! If there isn't, use Terapeak to identify fast-selling items and then go back to AliExpress to see what the wholesale prices are like.
4) Rinse and repeat.
I tend to use AliExpress for testing out new lines and then switch to its big brother, AliBaba, for ordering in larger quantities. You don't have to stick to Large Letter size, but it makes it an awful lot easier to fit starting up an online business around work as you don't have to spend your lunch hour at the post office, you can just buy a load of LL stamps and stick things in a post box.
Hope that's helpful0 -

Issues with DW work and people.
I will remain focused and carry on.
I must not get stressed because if I get over stressed then I get palpitations.
Onwards and upwards.
Thats not good to hear Mr B and you have been doing so well recently.
Palpitations aren't good, have you every tried Bachs rescue remedy when you get stressed ? I used to swear by it, possibly mind over matter admittedly ! My girls used to call them "Mums Stress Drops !!" How embarrassing is that ?
I really hope whatever is worrying you can be resolved .
