Thinking of you Bonnington and sending positive thoughts. Have to say you seem to take it all on yourself. I appreciate your partner is ill but surely she knows how impossible it would be if she didn't work? Do you share financial responsibility? If I am honest it sounds like you do it all

I think you need a break. You've been ill and are recovering. Please try and get time and space for yourself too.

Reading back through your diary, some of the things you've written about how your DW has been feeling really strike a chord. I used to get days where I was so down that it would take me 10 minutes to summon up the energy to put one pair of earrings into a jiffy bag. I didn't think it was depression, because I also got these soaring highs when I felt like I could take on the world and win, but then I'd go crashing back down again.

Then I discovered the Harcombe Diet by Zoe Harcombe. The weight I lost on it was almost a bonus side effect (I started it in the 'healthy' band of the BMI scale and still lost a stone and a half), what has really made a difference to my life is that I have tons more energy and I don't get those crashing lows any more. It's certainly in the Highland libraries system, so it'll probably be in yours too - see if you can borrow a copy for her to read. The first five days (phase 1) may well make her feel pretty horrible, but she'll feel so much better once she's done it that it's worth pushing through. After phase 1 it's pretty easy to fit around work lunches and cooking for a family as well.
  • Morning Bonnington.

Time is precious isn't it. We always seem to never have enough of it no matter how simple a life we try to live.

Not easy keeping up with everything is it and now with these last few days to Christmas it gets more hectic even if we try and opt out a bit.

Take care out and about today :) Keep going :)
