Right so feel much better now i have properly looked at things -
plan of action is to clear OD on HSBC first. This should be clear in Nov 2011. until then will pay min on CCs and concentrate on one thing at a time.
My emergency fund is for unexpected costs eg car so it doesnt end up on CC
holiday fund - i know i cant afford one but i need one - honestly - i am 30 in june and by then will have £400 - a weeks hol with my friend in july , asking for spending money from parents, also out of the £400 needs to come £82 left to pay for weekend away with the girls for our 30ths!
food/petrol/spends account - as i have only just started a spending diary this month this is estimated - hoping to get it down.
until i get the new accounts set up i will withdraw cash and keep in envelopes - this way im not using my CC to pay off OD which i am doing now!!!

the bills account - £600 from me and £400 from brother (he is working part time hrs at the moment and i earn more) - i should be paying £550 but 'borrowed' some money hence the OD - this should be gone by June and the extra £50 can go on HSBC overdraft.

THEN WILL CONCENTRATE ON M&S CC THEN HALIFAX THEN LOAN

So at this moment in time, debt as follows:

    HSBC LOAN £5368.33
    HSBC OD £1783.76
    LLOYD OD £300.81
    HALIFAX CC £5088.24
    M&S CC £2161.11

    TOTAL DEBT £14702.25:eek::eek::eek:

    WILL UPDATE MY SIGNATURE!!

A LIST OF ACTIONS WILL FOLLOW FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK RE MY FINDINGS!!!!

I have applied for 2 basic bank accounts - once paperwork arrives sign and post back asap

Car insurance - cancel brother on policy as he has now bought a car

Cancel equifax - may have to ring up

I have a savings account somewhere with about £35 in it - locate and get money!!

Food petrol and spends £250 starting March 28th - speak to brother re food - spend as little as possible. until this date continue to use 0% m&s CC as cheaper than OD

m&s credit card 0% ends November 2011 - ensure this is in diary to swap the month before - maybe to halifax if same rate (5.6% for life of balance)

mortgage - switch??? we were paying about £760 but when brother was made redundant before xmas we swapped from 30 yr to 35yr mortgage - ideally will want to go back to 30 yr.

try to use the gym - otherwise cannot justify the cost.

    ebay ebay ebay!!!!

clear out garage (need help as there are spiders!!) - anything for ebay or car boot?

any extra cash into HSBC OD

look into getting pet insurance for my 2 cats - may be worth it in the long run and save future costs??

do things that make me happy - read, listen to music, keyboard

    start my learn cantonese cd

    keep up with spending diary

What a horrible day - windy and rainy :(
I really felt crap this morning and didnt want to get up but dragged myself in the shower and feel better!!

    Money tasks completed today -

RBS basic bank account application signed and returned
contacted car insurance - brother taken off the policy and reduced to £37.54 /mth (saving £3.12/mth:j)

letter sent to equifax to close membership with them (paying £6.99/mth)

Barclaycard contacted and CC closed - I thought it already was until I received a bill for 4p!!

Sky letter received - this months price is £27.27 (few days of sky tv to pay for still) but as of next month £15.00 as downgraded to phone and broadband only:j

water bill checked - this month payment £34.27, april £31.15 and then £36.09 for the rest of the year:mad: - increase of £1.82 - have looked into a water meter but would not benefit us.

xmas online savings account written to and asked for my balance to be transferred to my current account - £30.09:j

9 more items listed on ebay :j

time for a brew and lunch now :):):)
