I have had three calls in two days from these people. One call started with, "I am calling about your road traffic accident." I have never had an RTA.

I then put the phone down and half an hour later I received a call to my mobile. I ignored this as I saw the number.

This morning I received another call on my landline.

I am a subscriber to TPS so I should not be receiving any calls like this. I have reported them to TPS using their online complaint form and advise others to do the same. I'm not sure if my complaint will achieve anything but at least I've tried to do something about them.

  • I joined this forum after searching for info online about this company!

They've phoned four or five times wanting to speak to my son about a car accident he supposedly had. My son has never had an accident. I was rather spooked as they had details of a car he drove briefly. He had temporary insurance on his sister's car which he drove to a scrapyard for her after it failed its MOT. I wonder whether someone in the scrapyard passed his details to this company, though perhaps they had another source. I was told they didn't have details of the source on the computer screen. Hmm ...
  • I have an ex directory number and have run to the phone several times, seen the number and not answered as I didnt know who it was. then today picked it up without thinking and they wanted my husband - he hasnt had an accident for 30+ years. didnt disclose anything to them just said why do you keep ringing and she said she wanted to speak to my husband (by name) and I have asked her to stop ringing but she was very rude - I have contacted BT and they are doing the telephone preference service for us but I am furious they can ring and disturb us and then be rude AND like others have said, know details about you that should be private grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr:mad:

  • We have received a phone call from this company this morning, asking to speak to my daughter concerning an accident she had in a Peugeot she no longer owns. She does not live with us currently, and we do not know of any accident (and she would tell us for sure), and the person on the phone ("Ryan") then asked for her car registration details, which we were not prepared to give. He was very persistent, but my husband refused to give any information and said that we would pass a message on for her to contact him. He then gave us the 0161 238 8666 number for her to call him back. We tried to ring this number back but were unable to connect. We then did a search on the internet, but there was no reply from the number quoted on the website. We were rather suspicious that this was a scam, and a further search directed us to MoneySavingExpert forum. We don't know how they obtained the phone number they dialled us on, as it is a business number that my daughter would never have used. I think these people are the lowest of the low, and if they phone again I will definitely tell them where to shove their compensation!
  • Had a call today from the company asking for my 18 yr old son saying he needed to speak to them about £800 damage to a car. They quoted the right reg no for the car. I said he had not caused any accident and they said he could have been a passenger in the car. When I queried the date of the incident they gave me a date before we even owned the car so it was impossible to have any incident linked to our use of this car. It looks like a complete scam and any call from this company should be treated as highly suspect. I don't know where they got our name, phone number and car reg no. I intend to make a formal complaint.
