Did a meal-plan in my head whilst at the supermarket as had a lazy morning and couldn't be bothered to write it down, so I hope I have enough meals available.

Sat: Dad's Veggie cottage pie with baked beans
Sun: Cottage cheese jacket potatoes with salad
Mon: HM Veggie chicken, vegetable and apple casserole
Tue: Mixed bean and sweetcorn pasta in tomato sauce
Wed: Veggie chicken tikka with rice
    Thu: Dinner @ M&D's
Fri: HM Veggie lasagne with salad
Sat: My main meal = Lunch at Nana's (Dad will prepare), ready-meal for OH in evening, beans on toast for me
Sun: Dinner out for Mum's B'day
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I haven't thought about next week yet!

Friday night: little fish cakes with tzatziki roast, med veg (me) with pasta for him, and orange and fresh date fruit salad I think (it feels warm enough for cold food today but it might not tomorrow!)

Saturday Lunch: soup.....either tinned tom, consomme or miso....but for night I think we might have a sitting room picnic.....bread, fruit, cheese and a bottle of grape juice and some popcorn in front of a dvd (I know, slobby eating...but e'll be working hard tomorrow). If not then I'll cook a proper supper but not too heavy....the freezer could provide for a stew, a chilli or burgers with no dificulty or digging deep.

Sunday: lunch...tuna/spring salad pitas, supper bruschetta, venison (which we have a lot of on the freezer....for free) then something to do with bottled plums.

I reserve right to chnage my mind a anytime before defrosting things.

Just to show how badly off these were, and how important it is to have SOME flexibility in planning DH wasn't home till very late last night so we'll have what planned for last night tonight (he had fish and chips while I drove home from station.). Tomorrow night should go as planned though. :) The bigger supper tonight we've worked really hard in the garden for, :)

  • Well the meal plan i did for last week that was meant to take me thru till Monday night just had a massive fail in that ive just ran out of Pasta since i was SO hungry today. So im revising tomorrow and Mondays meal plan in this one. I really dont like sandwiches at lunch and seem to get so hungry if i havent had something hot even if its only in the micro.

    Sunday
L jacket Potatoe with baked beans and sausages
D Rice with stir fry Veggies

    Monday
L Bulgar Wheat, LO veggies and Chicken Tikka strips
D Battered Fish, wedges and peas

    Tuesday
L Cheese Salad & Tinned New potatoes
    D Spanish Omelette and salad

    Wednesday
L LO Spanish Omelette and salad
    D Cowboy Hotpot & Rice

    Thursday
L LO Cowboy Hot pot and rice
    D LO Lasagna & Wedges

    Friday
L Salad New Potatoes and Mackrel
D Pancakes (yes i know im early but i really don't need an excuse for a batch)

    Saturday
L Various Veg in cheese sauce bake
    D HM Pizza

Brekkies tend to be porridge/oatbran if i want something hot and filling or fruit and yogurt if i want something on the run and light.

Going to do a shopping trip tomorrow out of March's budget to get the ingrediants for twinks, peanut butter cookies and peanut fudge in the hope that i can discourage my purchases on sweets and biscuits and cakes. (just had a thought might google for the recipe for peppimint cremes and see whether i will already have the ingediants for these too) Dont think i can wait till monday or even tuesday since the fridge and cupboards really are looking sorry for themselves.

Hi D&DD, yes, the pasties will be homemade. I'll be making a batch of shortcrust pastry using 200g flour, a pinch of salt, 125g butter and a splash of water, then adding a mixture of very finely chopped chorizo, normal sausagemeat and red onion. It'll then be a case of drawing around something like a small breakfast bowl and putting the filling in. :)

    Hope that helps,
