I managed to stick to 5 out of 7 days in the last week.
My dad was rushed to hospital in the early hours of sunday morning & i've been juggling double visits.

I'm just trying to get my head around planning from sunday onwards.

    Hope everything is ok.

I'm sooo far behind this week (been paid today so the cupboards were bare!)

Saturday - OH is away, I was going to treat myself to takeaway curry but decided to treat myself to Iceland's best takeaway style Indian instead, not quite the same but I'd rather pay a bit more off my credit card (is this what being an adult feels like? :rotfl:)

Sunday - Omelette and HM bread
Monday - Roast pork, veg and gravy (roast potatoes and yorkie puds for OH's hollow legs as well)
Tuesday - As Monday but with chicken instead of pork (went to the butcher today and both need cooking!)
Wednesday - Ham, egg and chips for OH, Ham, new potatoes, veg and onion sauce for me
Thursday - Pork in some kind of sauce (maybe stroganoff? Not sure!) and rice - Pork in rose wine sauce with mushrooms, brown & wild rice and spinach for me
Friday - Chicken and ham lattice pie with veg

All cooked from scratch of course!

Breakfasts will be hm yoghurt and fruit, lunches will be sandwiches for OH and hm soup and roll for me. Snacks and puddings will be fruit, icecream and I will probably make some kind of cake this weekend.

I ''think'' i've got myself organised now.

    Sunday -- Roast beef dinner
Monday -- Beef Stroganoff & rice
Tuesday -- Chicken in a tomato & mushroom sauce with pasta
    Wednesday -- Tagliatelle Carbonara
Thursday -- HM mozerella & ham pizzas
    Friday -- Chicken pilau rice
Saturday -- Lamb curry & naan breads

    Breakfasts -- Toast
Lunches -- Soup, sandwiches or leftovers

Snacks -- HM cakes or fruit
Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.
  • we're having an eating out of the freezer week next week......

    Sunday - roast lamb
    Monday - hash
Tuesday fish (DD2 - fish intolerant is using up frozen chicken curry and a stray naan)
Wed - fajita chicken with jackets and salad
Thurs - chicken stirfry (DS hates stirfry but will be working - whoopsied steak)
    Fri - homemade pizza

I'm getting the hang of menu planning!
