  • I am fine thanks.
I am on Slimming world and I need to lose at least 1 lb this week to get back into target. I don't need to diet everyone tells me but I just want to lose my baby fat again!!!!!. I lose it, put it on and then lose it again.

I have been quite good as I have been selling stuff on ebay to get some more money in so not too bad in the money department, it will be next week when we are both waiting for pay day 25th of month!!!!!!

Made homemade stew today and then I am going to make lasagne over the weekend and I also made turkey, ham and chesse quiche which is all syn free food for me (Yeah).

Where is everyone? No one has been on here for the last few days!!!!!

    How is married life then?

  • Hi Guys

    How are you all doing?

Like the new name b2b much more appropriate. I'm with you on the skint stakes after Christmas. I knew it was going to be a tight month but I thought I'd just make it, then yesterday the winds brought a tree down in my garden and it's totalled the neighbours fence. I came home to find a note through the door saying they want it replacing as soon as possible!
I've done 5 Mystery Shops since Christmas so I'm praying the money will come in soon.

feeling prety low moneywise at the mo - just feel like everytime I think its going to get straight something else comes along to mess it all up. Really worried about mortgage payments now - my fixed term finishes next month and they are quoting a £200 raise in the monthly payment without taking into account the surprise interest rate this week. Can't see me being able to get a new mortgage deal. I emailed CCCS to see if it would contravene the rules of DMP to get a new mortgage but got no reply so far.

I've got a big family do next Wednesday, but its 75 miles away - not sure I can afford the petrol to go.

Sorry everyone - Just feeling like its all a bit too much at the mo

January is such a hard month - all the hype of christmas and new year long gone, but the legacy of all that extra spending still hitting us.

All the positivity of the first few days of new year seems to be losing its gloss I find. I spent a while getting excited (well, sort of) about making 2007 MY year to get on top of this debt, and to at least not increase it, but now I just feel as though I am banging my head against the proverbial wall.

It is hard to keep up momentum when in such a huge situation but with the support of these forums, we will get there.

Unfortunately, it is not supposed to be easy. If we are to learn our lessons from it and not get back into the same problems in the future, we have to have these bleak periods, it seems.

Go pour a drink, and raise a glass to just how much you have achieved so far. Write a positive statement and stick it on the bathroom mirror or somewhere "I am in control of my debts, they are no longer in control of me:T " or something similar.

Any other ideas to keep up the motivation will be welcome!

  • Hi tinytot

I called them & they kept lumping the mortgage in with the other debt, going on about how much we owe them, they have us over a barrel & they know it.

Finally they agreed to accept the CCCS offer but they will not freeze interest, so it will take us around 15 years to clear it (on the present sums)

The mortgage only has 11 years left to run!

Still threat of repossession is withdrawn for now (phew)

I saw Tonight, it was great! Im glad I got my PPI claim settled before the rush that the program is going to cause:rotfl:

  • Hi all

Another creditor has accepted the CCCS offer, reviewed in 6 months. Thats everyone now except my loan and overdraft with the Royal Bank of Scotland, the Royal Bank of Scotland credit card & the norwich union credit card which is actually issued by........whaddya know, the royal bank!

The Royal Bank is actually an excellent bank if you are not in any financial difficulty, but have not been of any assistance at all in our changed circumstances.

Im concentrating on the MSE challenge at the moment, a bit obsessed actually!! How is everyone else doing?
