  • Hey all, how is everyone! This forum has gotten very busy, must be the time of year! All my creditors are quiet still, nothing to report there. I am doing the olympic challenge for bronze so am selling off all the clutter. To make up for my wicked chippy purchase last week, I have made chicken casserole, bolognaise & stew for the week ahead, plus some pasta sauces.

Am going to try matched betting, once I get some funds!

Tinytot, I went into Boots and tried to get some shampoo with vouchers they sent to me, picked carefully so I would only need to pay a few pence: At the till they said no, sorry, no miniatures, so I said well keep it then & scuttled away! Im hoping to become shameless in time :-)

  • Hi guys I feel really bad I havent been on this thread for an age! I have not been very good lately (money wise) what with Christmas and I have not been keeping a check on my spending apart from not buying any clothes or non-essentials (xmas food excluded) I hope everyone is ok and had a good xmas and new year break and that you all are keeping on the straight and narrow! I am going to see what I can find around the house (unwanted pressies galore already in a pile) to sell on ebay as its 10p listing day on Thursday - yippee!

Life is like a ferrari - it goes too fast - but thats ok because I can't afford it anyway!
  • Hey b2b good to have you back - don't worry about Christmas - we all fal off the wagon from time to time - I see it as the same as learning to walk- we all fell over to start with and yet we percevered and are all upright on our tootsies know - well most of the time at least!

Sharon, I'll be interested in how the matched betting goes - think I'm being a bit dim but I just don't get it!!! - will have to read the post thread about it on a day with no distractions and see if I can make sense of the system then I might be tempted too.

  • Thanks for that, I feel a bit better, going to try really hard now and be good :D I have had a go at matched betting (with OH's help) and we have made just over 150 quid so far, it is very hard to get to grips with though and we did make a couple of mistakes cos of not reading the bookies terms and conditions thoroughly - luckily not very costly ones though! My advice is just to read and re-read the newbie threads on it and post any bets you decide to place prior to actually going ahead and the guys and gals on there will help you

Have a look on here. You have to try and get as much money as you can after you have your wage.

Read this thread and been you can do it too.

  • Hi everybody, Im having a rollercoaster few days! Yesterday I got the letter about my PPI claim, I am getting the full premium refunded plus all the interest I have paid, fantastic:j

Then today, came home to letter from my ex bank, threatening to repossess the house AGAIN. They already did this, then said they wouldnt and now are saying they will. There was a number to phone on the letter which I dialled repeatedly for about 3 hours, but it was always engaged. Im paying the mortgage payment in full every month, but apart from that I owe them £18000 and they have put that & the mortgage together & demanded the whole lot immediately!!

    Waaa!

  • Hi there tinytot, its me (former bride2be2006) i have set up a new account to change my user name cos apparently you cant change them once you set them up and it was bugging me being bride2be when I am now married! (plus everyone kept asking when the big day is!) serves me right for picking a dumb screen name!

I am totally skint after xmas I dare not even check my bank balance (I know I should know what it is but i am bad in the extreme this month!!!) I am also on a diet as you know and trying my best to exercise even though I hate it!
Off to my friends tonight for some wine so that will scupper my dieting day - oh well!

    How are you?
