Well you'll be pleased to know I did NONE this morning. Cat kept me awake for an hour and my glands were up as I am fighting a cold. So I gave it a miss this morning. Tomorrow though I think I will get back into it.

Phew had such a busy day. 4 kids who want lots of play and stimulation. Been out in the garden which was lovely to have some sunshine although everything out there needs a bloomin' good clean after the winter. Haven't had a moment to myself at all today but in fairness it's been a great day, kids really enjoyed themselves. DS at one point decided he wanted to play Schools and set himself up as the teacher, taking the register and asking the others what they were choosing for cooked dinner at school :T It was fabulous to watch because it was out of his usual remit of rockets, spaceships, Batman and robots. One proud mummy here :D

OS well I made a chicken curry (but the sauce was 9p Basics one from Mr S so I guess that counts as thrifty ;)).

Did one load of washing and wiped over the kitchen and that was it! Thank goodness they're back next week, dread how I'll keep the house clean come the summer hols........

Mia the cat didn't really want to go out today, she was a bit frightened but plucked up courage and has been in and out, really fussy all day. Hope she's learned her lesson.

Loulou - Sorry to hear about your Granddad xx

Congrats on the weightloss to those that have achieved it :T

Hugs and spoons for you all.

    Thank you JulieG.
Every time I try to diet I can't get food off my brain!
Your approach seems very logical and is how I work my life now. I think I need to get more active - housework would be a very good place to start as it is not my forte iykwim :), Silver x

I walk now... when you consider that when I started I couldn't walk anywhere (I had just had 4 re-constructive surgeries on my knees) I started with a slow 10 minute walk every day... now i power walk 30 minutes every lunch.

When not working I walk to the School twice a day (5 miles a day) and walk regularly at the weekend during spring and summer (I have Osteoarthritis so winter walking is painful... I still do the lunchtime walk though)...

One trick is to wear a pedometer and instead of trying to hit '10,000' steps (which is unrealistic most days) just try and beat what you did the day before...

I was shocked to find I only did 1,500 steps a day (an average person does 6,000 and overweight people do 4,000) I now do 6,000 on a work day (4,000 is in the lunchtime walk) :D

Congrats to JulieG on that weightloss, it's fab and you seem to have a great outlook on life.
Lou - So sorry to hear that your Grandad passed away, hugs to you.

Been reading but not posting - DD (in Oz) has been really ill again. She went to Sydney at the weekend to see friends and then was too poorly to get back to Hamilton. She has seen a Doctor and been for another scan and they think she has endometriosis which is causing all the pain and sickness. Poor love has now booked her flight home for next Thursday so she can see doctors here. There goes my holiday, no point in going to see her when she is at home!

Anyway, cooked a chicken for tea with stir fry veg, washing fairly up to date and having a relaxing evening. Had too many late nights this week and need a rest.

    Take care all. XX
  • That's a shame about DD Camelot, but at least you will be off work to fuss over her when she gets back. xxx

It's a shame, she's only 18 and having to deal with all this on her own so far away from home. She has had over 3 months of feeling terrible all the time so I think she is pleased that at least she has some sort of diagnosis. She has a doctor's report to bring home with her so hopefully that should speed things up when she gets to the doctors here. XX
