  • Good Morning All

Dry here and much milder today - yesterday it just didn't stop raining.

Am going to have a 'doing' day today. Have loads of office work and loads of ironing. So plan is office this morning then ironing in front of the telly this afternoon. Think DD is happy hanging around the house. OH is going to drop off DS & his friend at our local cheap cinema to see Yogi Bear. OH will probably do some housework too :j

This week hasn't been great, have spent too much & eating a lot of rubbish food & have out a few pounds on  not happy with that at all so time to turn things around again. Have pork kebabs for dinner tonight with rice & pitta.

Hope all of you under the weather start feeling better soon. Have a good day.x

    Morning All

Dry here today and it looks like it may be a sunny one as well so I have some washing in and will put that out before I leave for the hospital in Harrow today.
It is quite a trek from here, so even though my appointment is not until 3pm we will leave here at 1pm because the M1 is always chocca.
We are going for a meal when we get out to avoid the rush hour traffic so probably won't be home until 8pm tonight, I don't want to miss Hairy Bikers or Marchlands Thursday is the best tv at the moment.

    JulieG ...Wow inspirational !

JackieG I lurve a challenge , but sweat and sticky wings don't really float my boat:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: x

Oh well better stir my stumps or nothing will be done before I go.
    have Good days all x

    Morning all!

Dry and bright here today, watery sun is visible! DW and WM doing their things, dishcloths soaking in bleach and water ready for good scrubbing of surfaces when I head down to make another cuppa! Jobs to do today involve hoovering and sorting out the landing, the bookcase has erupted all over the floor, well that's what it looks like, I think it's actually dd2 and dd3 chucking stuff out there that they don't want in their room!

Dropping dd2 in town today to meet some friends, and whilst there I shall pop and pick up some cannisters from Argos that I reserved (been after for a while then spotted as reduced on grabbit!), and will no doubt be doing any other jobs that are required whilst I'm there!

Just enjoying a cuppa and some toast and going to have a browse and catch up, hugs to all who need them xxx

ps The Takeaway Secret arrived yesterday, looks good, so need to have a browse of that thread too!

    Morning all :hello:,

JulieG - Wow 6 stone is a lot! Congrats on your weight loss :T
JackieG - slow down darling, you're making me dizzy!

Had a rubbish night's sleep last night - baby would not settle and is clearly having a growth spurt. My belly feels like it's got a permanent Chinese burn across it where the skin is stretched so much and every time I needed to turn over I woke up because my back was playing up! I suppose it doesn't help that my bump is all out front and I've put little to no weight on anywhere else; I reckon it's throwing me off balance the amount of times I tripped yesterday and looked to see over what and nothing was there

OS is therefore going to be limited to perhaps none today unless I get a sudden second wind when I get home!

Hugs to all poorlies, down in the dumps, and those who just want one xx

Poorly DD today so she's off sick today - we've just worked out it's her first day off ill for over 4 years, so I think she's due :rotfl:

Anyway that means I will be in the house all day so shall become a Domestic Goddess for the day :T

Have just dropped DS at nursery, will do breakfast and then get cracking - everything needs doing so who knows where I'll start.

Night out last night was good, feel a little fragile today, but I think that will pass soon enough.

Turkey & Mushroom potato topped pie for dinner tonight - never made it so have no idea how it will turn out, and more to the point what it will taste like! Have weigh in at WW tonight as well.... Hmmmmm......

Hugs & spoons to those in need,

    Speak soon!

    Sunny here this morning.:j
Going out to lunch today with friends, so no need to plan dinner tonight. Just c
    heese and ryvita! :rotfl:

Weight loss 9lbs in two weeks. Pleased with myself, as it hasn't been easy. Doing "Chairobics" on Fitness TV. Found it's really good for me, as it doesn't involve too much standing.:T Tried on the jacket for my daughters' wedding yeasterday, FITS! Skirt doesn't fit yet, but it will!!!

Cat is doing his impression of a cushion. (Asleep on my bed) He can do this for 23 hours out of 24:eek:

Had a man round about my garden. He rteckons it will cost about £2500 to do all I want, but at least then it will be almost maintenance free. At the moment I just get depressed with it!:o

Anyway, hope you all have a good day.

    Morning all.

Bit grey and damp looking here, I have a small wash on, mostly socks and undies, which will be drapped over the rads, I have had enough of this damp weather now, could do with some sun. I keep putting off washing the towels as they take ages to dry inside, but may have to bite the bullet tomorrow and wash them and run them up to the laundrette to dry.

Last nights sleepover was cancelled due to the guest having a migraine, so we have another one coming tonight, just waiting for a call to collect her from the station, (her dad is dropping her early on the way to work)

Dinner tonight is cold chicken chips and peas for OH and I, will do the girls a pizza and chips. Quick tidy round today should be ok.

I need to nip to Lidl at some point for washing liquid, so will either do that today or tomorrow, its next door to matalan too so might nip in there ;)

Went to see dad yesterday, sis had asked if I could go a bit earlier, as he is on his own all day so I went just after lunch, and they were all having a nap, we did wake dad, but he was so sleepy, we only stayed a while. Will go up later on.

I have to take dd to the Dr today for her 2nd jab, so her friend can come with us and hold her hand :D they can always mooch around town after.

    Ok better get on,

Big hugs to Lou, hope everything is ok xx

Julie G :T well done you xx

Butterfly, good luck at the hospital xx

    Have good days all xx

Sounds like lots of washing getting done today, it is starting to brighten up a little here now but doesnt look like "washing drying weather" yet. Will have to go shopping later, didnt manage it yesterday, back is playing up a bit, but the cupboards are bare. Will enlist the boys help.

    morning!

looks like a nice day here today for a change:T

just seen on TV that there's a programme on the Yesterday channel tonight at 9pm called Ration Book Britain!I'll miss it because I'm at work but it might interest some of you.

Washing is on the line:j have cleaned and mopped downstairs. Working at 1.30pm so got time for a few more jobs yet. Want to make some soup this morning, got some veggies, sweet spuds and butternut squash to use up.

    Lou - (((hugs)))

Julie - a very impressive weight loss - well done:T also well done to hilstep too!:T

Butterfly - good luck at the hospital x

MMM - hope your DD is better soon x

Those on FB will already know but last night DH got us a fab pine dining table for £7 on EBay:money::T:) we're collecting it at the weekend hopefully. I'm planning on having a move around of the lounge furniture now - not a huge room and its a bit crowded so we've decided to get rid of one of the big chairs and manage with a 3 seater sofa and an armchair. The sofa and chairs are Ercol and very sturdy with wooden arms(free from a friend:D) but they do take up a lot of room.

Am off for a drive to Shrewsbury this afternoon taking a service user to the dentist. Thats about it from me for now

    take care all x
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Morning all - the sun is actually shining here!!
I had a lousy nights sleep last night. I've been very stressed for the last 10 days with mums cancer and the dr not getting the right balance of her morphine. I was so exhausted that I ended up crashing the car on monday :( The dr prescribed me sleeping pills but after 1 try I felt sick so won't take them again. Does anyone know if things like Chamomile tea really work? Thank heavens I don't have the school run this week to deal with too!
Grats to JackieG on the weightloss! Smiles too all and hugs for those who need them today!
