    yep angel the holiday is looking right outa my range

    ok now dont laugh people but this is the quote i have been given ... no flights to or from India ( they are our free flights from virg*n remember) but a 22 day tour ... no spending money ... purely tour ... maybe you would be better sitting down ... £7858 for two people ... add on to that £1600 for flights ( if we were paying for them) and spending money ....

    anyway ... ultimatley we are going to India just not sure yet quite how ..... i still need to find a way to pay for it so i have been brain storming today ... and have decided a few different things

    1) cut down total cost of holiday including spending money to as little as i can make it
    2) do as much overtime as i can
    3) if we manage to save any money from out budgets it goes to the holiday fund
    4) slow down debt repayments ... still doing it in 100 months but now going to pay what i need to to ensure i do it 100 months rather than pay extra
    5) if i buy any 3 for the price of 2 on shopping i put the other money into the holiday fund ( it will all add up over the year)
    6) if stuck take advantage of 0% credit ( with 3% transfer fee obviously)

    i am sure there are other things that i can and will do ... i aim to do it without getting into debt if i can ... but i may need to get into debt ... but i will decide and amount i am willing to get into and that is it ... no more will be allowed ...

    £10,000 for two people :eek: are you staying in the Maharajah's palace for that? Oh and bearing in mind that is today's prices it could be more in a year or two!

    i know ... this is what i was thinking ... a 3 week holiday for 10k ... in todays climate as well ... and its not like ( as far as i am aware) India is a rip off place like the U.K where hotel rooms are £100 plus a night etc ... and meals out cost £50 plus ... from what iu understand India is a relatively cheap place ... so !!!!!! is the £7858 for ? ... well i do have an itenery i spose lol

    Can you organise it yourself? Would be a lot cheaper I would imagine.

    there most deff is dragon ... this current itinery is the result of a phone conversation that i had with a travel agent explaining what i was looking for ... obvioulsy they decided to ignore alot of what i said and just go for what their idea of a dream holiday is ...

    i am night shift all weekend so will go through it with a fine tooth comb and when he phones me back on Wednesday i will explain to him what i want/dont want etc and see if he can sort something out ... then i will cost it up by myself and compare prices ...

    yes it is my 40th so i am willing to splash a wee bit more out .. but i willing to be ripped off :)

    thats what i think we will do miz ... but its good to get ideas etc i think
  • :eek::eek::eek::eek: HOW Much :eek::eek:

    Defi think Miz's idea is maybe the way forward El :rotfl:

    I have to say, it's one of the reasons why I'd be unlikely to ever do a packaged holiday ... they don't listen to what you want to do .... besides which .... not only am I an independant little madam, and apt to wander off n do my own thing ... I'm darn right bolshy went it comes to being forced to do something :rotfl::o
