I dragged myself to school with DD then to the local co-op (same road) where I've picked up 3 tins of cream of chicken soup (Haven't got the energy to try and cook properly, besides, cream of chicken tastes so much more luxurious :rotfl: ), a big bar of chocolate (to help with my cough/sore throat thats developed) and a box of choc ices, also to soothe my throat ;) On the way home I almost had to stop for a rest as I felt so worn out :( This is not good. It's only a couple of weeks off Christmas and I'm going to have Governor related things to do at DD's school soon.

Sooo... 1 load of washing is in the machine (cleaning clothes I put in on Monday but forgot to take out after they had finished :o ) and they can go on the maiden infront of the fire so I don't have to carry a basket of wet washing up the stairs...will see how I'm doing later as to whether I do the towels or leave them for OH to do when he gets home. Maybe DD could put them on (yes, at 5 years of age she knows how to use our washing machine :D ) and then OH can put them out on the maiden in the bedroom? We'll have to see.

This morning while sorting out DD's hair she asked if I would be well enough to come to her Christmas show. When I asked her when it was (thinking it might have been next week) she said "In December but if you're sick you can't come" :rotfl: So I gave her a big hug and reassured her I would be well by December. She then informed me that one of the boys in her class (her best friend as well!) said that Father Christmas doesn't exist  I thought "Oh no...not already! She's only 5! She can't stop believeing already!". Her response to him? "Santa does exist and people who don't believe in him will only get a lump of coal for Christmas so there!" :D Kids....don't you just love them! :rotfl:

I assume that you are all off madly cleaning? Both boys are snoring on the sofa and I should be dashing round, just cant get motivated. Our buyers solicitor has sent the queries through and they are insisting that the original attic room is in fact an unauthorised loft conversion so we are into delays, indemnity insurance and more cost, I knew it was a mistake to pack some of the books this morning.

I have done the WM and ordered a relacement filter for the hoover, and been food shopping. Just waiting for the solicitor to ring back.

Nicki, I had a good chat with my 3yo yesterday and he was telling me the difference between real and not. I was relieved to hear that Father Christmas is real, but that Chitty Bang Bang is not. Silly mummy.

I got back from hospital appt sore tired and cross, as I expected, but had planned ahead with tonight's meal done etc.

For the first time EVER, in my absence husband had decided 'we' would blitz the shelves with all my cookbooks, china bits, cards from daughters that I couldn't bring myself to throw away etc, so 'we' are working our way through piles of stuff.

I found a book to list on Amazon, one other copy there at a silly price, so did all the checks and listed it for £15. It sold within 10 minutes to an address in Mayfair, so I am pointlessly brooding on the £25 I should clearly have asked.

Back to the sorting, trying to ditch the sentimentality that makes me hang on to Mother's Day cards from 10 years ago.

I've run out of motivation. Washing is done (last load is in now) but I can't be bothered with anything else... going to look at house for rent/buy in Wigan

If we all clubbed together, could we afford an industrial compacter (the thing that turns a car into a coffee table sized piece of squashed metal)?

I hate floors too Lynz, specially the ones carpeted in plain dark red. Or rather it was plain dark red, but is kind of mottled. It can do that to itself the minute I turn my back.

    It's too dark for tidying!

    Tell me a joke, someone!
