My 12 year old son is on his second girlfriend! (He dumped the first she was too clingy!!) It is all quite innocent & when he spends time with her her little brother is there too & they all just have a laugh together. I have met her & her nan who she lives with (mum died) & they are lovely.
He just had a birthday and she didnt buy him anything but he does want to buy her a present for xmas - she likes Betty Boop so we will look for something in that range but only £5 or £6.
In the past he has bought for girls (party invites not a string of gf's!! lol!) a necklace from Argos, £6, silver with initial & cube zircona.

    Your son sounds very sweet!
    NEVER ASSUME!
  • Well, a very big thank you to all of you x

We went to our local town after school and bought her a 'Me to You' bear a 'Me to You' card and a small pretty bracelet, he was so pleased. I made sure nothing was too soppy or lovey.

He went to Youth Club tonight, looking and smelling lovely as usual (he is so particular about his appearance) and said she kept asking what he had bought her but he wasn't telling her until her Birthday (Monday).

He then told me he had a dance with her, 'a slow dance mum but dont tell anyone' eek..you lot don't count do you?? lol

Anyway, I just wanted to say once again, thank you all!

My daughter is 11 and has came home from school with rings, necklaces, teddies, cups, photo frames, chocolates and cakes.

Her bf got her a teddy and ring for her b/day and all the other stuff is from Valentines Day!

I am not offeended at all by it, its all in innocence and part of growing up.

    Aaaaarrr what a shame.

Buy him a big bar of chocolate for when he gets home from school and a big cuddle from his mum!
