My son 11yrs wanted me to take him into town to purchase a necklace and something else for his girlfriends birthday. I refused and said that he could buy her some chocolates which were on offer. This he did and she was over the moon. He later bought her several trinkets home from holidays one of which was a necklace. Initially he was looking at expensive hearts but we directed him in the direction of something a lot cheaper and not as heavily romantic. The romance lasted 8 months when he finished it.....he said he just did not fancy her any more!!!!!!!!!

PS - for the record, I had an 11 year old bf when I was just 9, and boy did I get a ribbing from my friends for sitting under his coat and having a snog in the playground at Jnr. school.

You snogged a boy when you were 9!!!

My girls are 10 and 12 and I would be mortified if I thought they had kissed a boy! I was 14 before I kissed a boy.

I do like the idea of a little teddy still with a little bracelet, but maybe not a silver one.
He obviously thinks highly of her to speak to me about her and he is a very thoughtfull little boy, at least if the little bracelet is around teddies neck then it can stay there or be worn by her.
The age of innocence - isn't it wonderful! Your idea sounds perfect; it will be treasured in her bedroom I'm sure.
