I had a dream where OH (the most practical man alive) has found a frog and put it in the dishwasher because he 'didn't know what else to do with it'
I'm a weirdo :rotfl:
That's a strange thing to do, if he were to put the frog in the oven it could mean your Oh wants frogs legs for his tea.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I remember having a dream as a young child (about 5/6) where I woke up one day and everybody (bar me) had been replaced by a rubber-necked version of themselves.
Looked the same but their neck would stretch and go all googly. The only cure was to eat these green diamond pills that grew randomly/rarely in the grass, and avoid being captured/turned into a rubber necked person.
Love to see anyone figure that out. :rotfl:0 -

No, we got our first computer (an acorn electron shared between 3 of us), when I was about 10/11? I have no idea why I had that dream, but it has stuck with me. I was an imaginative child. I've had a lot of unusual ones since.0 -

I can see the logic in all that, but my problem is I'm usually terrified in my dream. I spend the whole dream feeling scared witless and do all I can to get away from the corpse.
I have no idea how I could turn things around and feel differently so I could stay near it long enough to yell 'email me'. :rotfl: Ok I'm making light of it and joking but you'll understand my issue. :undecided Intense fear (even in a dream) just makes you want to flee.
.... I know there are loads of books out there but some of them are little more than jokey pass the time affairs ....
Let us just leave aside the small issue that it is a dream, because I don't think it is too relevant. Let's just look at the situation and apply MSE :money::money: thinking. As far as I can see, the funeral directors are yours, because they live in your head - it is where they do all their business. They are trying to bury someone who does not want to be buried but who would rather speak to you first. It is your head, so you are in charge of whom the funeral directors may bury.
Although the situation is surreal, the straightforward MSE :money::money: advice is to go to the funeral directors office and ask the funeral directors to explain. They of all people should know. You should let them know that the corpse must not be buried until it has the peace of delivering its message. And you should ask them to tell you everything they know about the corpse. Trust me, they will know, it is their job not only to bury but to know why. As you say, the corpse can't talk or think properly, so it is for the funeral directors to explain - unless the corpse finds itself able to communicate, which it might well do, once you open up the channels.
If nothing else, the funeral directors should give you the name of the corpse - don't let them do anything until you have a name. Once you have a name, you will be able to google it and you will have much more idea what this is about and how to give peace to the corpse.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Have you finished your house refurb yet? If not, that's something that isn't ready to be buried and keeps reminding you in your dream..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

If you dream of dead people that aren't dead, then that's zombies.... Googling dreaming about zombies suggests there are things that you don't want to let go of, that things that should be put to rest are not being "let go" by you, maybe there's something in your past that's unresolved that you never really sorted out, and although you thought you had control of it, it comes back to haunt you in your dreams?
Of course it could be that you have been hearing trailers for Shaun of the Dead showing on TV while you're cooking the dinner and don't realise you recognise it..;)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

I really feel for you, I dream every night, between 1-3 separate ones, a lot I would like to interpret, all on different themes. A recurring theme for me is ghosts/spirits. I don't particularly believe in them, so not sure why I dream about them. Only 2 nights ago I dreamt I met a ghost of a young girl (about 8) who was friendly and I was able to help her let the people who picked on her at school know how it had affected her, therefore putting the matter to rest for all concerned. I wasn't frightened at all, even though I knew she was a ghost from the minute I saw her. But they aren't always this nice.
On another occasion a couple of years ago I dreamt a 'nasty' ghost was coming to me whilst I was in bed (not in my own house, but it was in the dream IYSWIM) and I was almost pre-empting it, I knew it was going to appear before it did etc. I knew from the off that a ghost of a female was going to come through the door and want to hurt/kill me. I was terrified, I remember trying to talk to it and tell her that I wanted to help her and begged her not to hurt me (a bit like a hostage might do??). It obviously went in the end and I woke up heart pounding.
My worst dream (waking dream??) was when DD2 was about a week old and at the side of my bed in her moses basket. At the time I felt like I was awake which made it even more frightening. I was with my ex at the time and he was asleep next to me. I 'dreamt' (I honestly did think I was awake at the time) that DD2 was suddenly in bed with me, even though I knew/could sense she was still in her basket. It turned out the baby in the bed was evil, it was hissing and spitting in my ear that it was going to kill me and slit my throat and then it would do the same to DD2. I could feel it's hands round my neck and it's long nails/claws digging into and scratching my neck and I started to struggle to breath as it was sat on my chest. I was paralysed all over and I knew that if I could only wake my ex up it would all be over, but I couldn't move. I remember straining to shake him or kick him, but my hands and feet just couldn't quite reach him. In the end I managed to turn onto my side slightly and the baby was gone. The odd thing is that I knew if I turned onto my back again it would come back, but half asleep I felt compelled to do so and the baby was there again. I again managed to turn onto my side and 'woke up'. I have never been so scared in my whole life. I was shaking and crying, it felt sooo real, it just didn't feel like a dream. Woke the ex up, the swine had been fast asleep and hadn't felt me trying to kick him etc. When OH and I moved in together I told him about it and made him promise me if he ever felt me poking, shaking, kicking him (he's a light sleeper) that he was to wake me up straight away or at least turn me onto my side. Thank goodness it has never happened again, but on the odd occasion I rememeber the dream, I go to bed terrified it will happen again.
Sorry I can't help further, as all I can think of is the not having put something to rest in your life/past yet which surfaces in your dreams. Just wanted you to know you're not alone with the scary dreamsExtra savings aim for 2020 £4,000 £0/£4,000
