Anyone know of good dream analysis books or sites?

I keep having a dream with a recurring theme. The people in the dream are often different but the theme is always the same.
It involves a corpse that just wont die. The dead person is always in a coffin and we are usually at his/her funeral when the corpse starts to move or get up out of the coffin. In all cases, the corpse isn't fully alive or dead, it's somewhere in the middle. It can move awkwardly, but can't think properly and can't talk. Most of the time it wants me. The funeral directors never seem to think this is a problem and always tell the corpses to just lie down and sleep, but of course they never do.
Last night's corpse was extreme. It blasted it's way out of the coffin after the lid had been screwed down and it took 3 of the funeral undertaker peeps to drag it away as it had climbed out the coffin and was adament it wanted to to get to me. (I wasn't daft, I was sat in the top balcony in the church putting as much space between me and it as possible, even in my dreams I'm cynical
).
I've had this recurring theme on and off for years but last night's version had me switching the light on at 5am unable to get back to sleep.
I ended up also having to put the tv on just to take my mind off it.
It must be my subconscious trying to tell me something but Lord knows what. I think I need to look into it to finally lay it to rest so to speak. I'm fed up being scared silly during the night like a 2 year old.
Any ideas? Other than expensive therapy? :rotfl:

Is a funeral in a dream suppose to be when you're suppressing your feelings and trying to put them to rest, but there are things from your past that are coming back to bite you on the bum.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Been a while since I looked into them but I think it's perhaps representing something that you have been trying to 'put to rest' but that refuses to die (so to speak!).0

It is obvious it has something to say and it won't die until it has spoken. The funeral directors have the task of laying the corpse to rest, but it is quite plain that they are doing this to a corpse which is not yet dead. You have to override the funeral directors. Once the corpse has spoken, I think it will climb back into its box.
I would say that the corpse is an issue which you have dealt with and rightly you are burying it - but you are trying to bury something else with it which is still important. Let the corpse speak.
ETA: I had not seen responses 2 and 3 before posting ...
Further ETA: Ask the corpse to write you a letter which you will find later.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

I can see the logic in all that, but my problem is I'm usually terrified in my dream. I spend the whole dream feeling scared witless and do all I can to get away from the corpse.
I have no idea how I could turn things around and feel differently so I could stay near it long enough to yell 'email me'. :rotfl: Ok I'm making light of it and joking but you'll understand my issue. :undecided Intense fear (even in a dream) just makes you want to flee.
LJM, I know there are loads of books out there but some of them are little more than jokey pass the time affairs that could have been written by my daughter. I kinda wanted something serious and just wasn't sure which would be helpful.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Dont buy books when you can Google it0

I've googled and cant find anything to do with corpses that wont die/stay dead. All the corpse meanings seem to be about straightforward dead corpses.
Some corpse dreams can mean something in your past whilst others can mean part of yourself. I guess there's no definitive answer.Herman - MP for all!0 -

ok, so the first one I find says this
Resurrection
To dream that you or someone is resurrected from the dead, suggests that you will eventually overcome your current obstacles to achieve your goals. It signals an awakening of your spirituality and renewed energy. Alternatively, the dream indicates that the same old problems are coming back to haunt you because they were not properly addressed or dealt with in the first place

I have never found those dream books useful.
I had a dream where OH (the most practical man alive) has found a frog and put it in the dishwasher because he 'didn't know what else to do with it' we live in a village that's full of little streams
Your corpse dream sounds quite scary, glad it isn't me. I used to have a recurring dream as a child about trains. I'm a weirdo :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o
