I remember this - it was definitely Tesco.

Just done a search and here's an article about it from the Telegraph.

    Thats it!!

I knew I wasnt imagining it!

Seems like a lot of work to make £25 though!

My fave line has to be... "Some people were dreadfully suspicious because they couldn't conceive of anybody giving something away for free,"

These people were shopping at Tescos!!!!!!

Wonder if anyone is in the same boat as me, that is where the wife refuses to go through checkout with me at Mr T's.

Anyway we were in yesterday and I'm off scavenging for any missprices, see a couple of decent electrical items with out of date sel. Lump them to the scanner and they still show the lower price (lot of this happening at the moment). This being the case I decide I might as well walk round with the wife. Blow me if she doesn't tell me that she's just found something with two prices.

So it's a first R&R for the other half and free tomato sauce for the family.
  • It seems that a very large ironing board has taken up residence over the Tesco Policy board in my local store..................hmmm,
Do you think I should complain to HO about the blatant 'hiding' of the company policy??
I may be shy, but that doesn't make me an angel ;)

Would you be so kind to post the details of this on the misprices board? you never know might be one worth keeping an eye open for in other stores

    Thanks very much

Flutterby, believe me if there's a bargain to be had I tell everyone, however when it's an incorrect or duplicate sel and it is removed at time of R&R there is little or no point in posting it.

Fair enough but I don't agree with you when there are two white sels for a product it is definitely store specific.

sorry but its not store specific....for example....last week it was reported that a tv had 2 different white sels in one store and people found it was across quite a few stores.....and thats how people got r+r's on the tv's all across the country
They've got cars big as bars
    They've got rivers of gold
But the wind goes right through you
It's no place for the old
  • Hi there.

I've decided to jump the bandwagon and have made plans to take a trip to my local tesco next Monday. (for R&R freebies)

However, I believe there isn't a self-scanner at the tesco, so how on earth will i be certain that an item will scan at a higher price?

I am intrested in DVD's and video games etc.

Any advice will be hugely appreciated! :money:

Surely Q branch could come up with some kind of scanner built into a watch or something?
