mrs_r&rlover wrote:hi, thanks for the help everyone, sorry about the caps, when i went back to the tv with the manager there was an out of stock sticker next to it, i think it was probably there before i paid, but the dvd cases were all there. i think i could have problems with this one.
Where is the problem?, they advertised the TV, they displayed the DVD boxes as items in stock, you bought and paid for the item, you completed the transaction and entered into a contract with Tesco, you went to collect YOUR tv, it wasn't in stock, you now need to arrange for collection of YOUR tv, and as per THEIR overcharge policy you are now entitled to a full refund and you get to keep the product.
Now tell me - Where's the problem with that
plain and simple- full r&r
enjoy your new tv0 -

Had some issues today
Initially visited a store and got 9 bottles of champers and they had the cheek to overcharge me, then broke their necks to tell me the policy :T
r+r here of £21.84 * 9 /25% = £147.42
Then to another store
3 simpsons dvd boxsets sel £22.97, labelled £19.84 full r+r £68.91
Then also picked up a dvd rewriter, yes the one we know of. sel of £34.97, charged £44.97.
Refused r+r by shelf stacker ! / Section manager (Hello if your listening, manners cost nothing) She was possibly the rudest person I have ever encountered in my life. Then she said the sel is more than a foot from the product :rotfl: .
Excellent I said. "So the posters outside the door do not apply?"
"All wine £1" , "But because its outside the store it doesnt count":D
"No sir"
"Well what then?"
Then I asked for Store manager , this chap was better but then said the sel was "on the floor??" even though his own shelf stacker had removed it. Then he implied we had put it on the shelf. At this point security dude turns up and asks if there is a problem. I say "yes, tescos have overcharged me by £10 and are refusing me it for £34 and are calling me a liar" At this point the section manager hitler says "Im not having this shouting and screaming in my ear" At this point I say "You havent seen me shouting and screaming yet" I had done nothing at all wrong at this point, still refusing clear r+R . Then the manager claimed it was a different product :T . Even though sel stated the dvd writer in question 16 speed etc. I asked him to show me the product this sel related to?
"Sold out" was the reply.
Then moved a label from a product (pc) and placed it infront of another ( different make) and said " So you'd want this at the same price?":D
me : "Well no its clearly a different product one is a gateway pc , the other sel is for a iqon laptop? What are you doing this for?"
mangler "Well im not letting you have it as its out of date!" "Its your responsibility to check the dates"
me : "Really , excellent im sure the papers will be pleased to hear this, along with TS and your MD terry leahy"
mangler : "Call head office then, im not selling it to you" :rotfl:
me : "Lol, what an absolute joke, at this point security steps in and asks me to leave, hold on im sorting this out, its 1605 by this point and store is closed.
So I refunded product and informed them id call head office. Told manager I wanted him to give me it personally tomorrow with an apology and that i would have the biggest grin ever when trading standards crawled up his !!!:rotfl:
So todays totals
r+r £216.33,
PLUS THEY DID NOT MARK RECEIPTS FOR CHAMPAGNE, OR THE DVDS.
2 SEPERATE STORES!! :rotfl:
Thanks again tescos
Hmmm, you sure are making yourself very obvious aren't you?. I admire you for standing up to them, but I would also make a guess after reading what you went through that theyll be busy distributing your name and description to other stores to be aware.
Is it really worth it for just a dvd player?. They will only make it harder and harder for you each time they id you from the previous encounter, or possibly ban you altogether Id imagine.
I note that you only joined this board in October yet have accumulated nearly £2000 in R&R's.

Well absolutely, you've now had the refund part of the deal (as per their policy) now you want the product as it wasn't in stock.
Don't give in on this one, you were overcharged0 -
