First batch of soup (lamb and barley) being made. Mince and tomatoes being defrosted for atlas mountain lamb soup to be made tomorrow. Chicken in SC poaching overnight. I have mushrooms and leeks so I can make up a casserole with the meat tomorrow and re-freeze most of it. Split peas soaking as well, for another batch of soup with all the veg from the stock.
Any suggestions as to what to do with the chicken giblets, or should I just bin them (hate the smell of giblet stock!)
Freezer inventory done:
2 packs broadbeans, 1 bag chips, 1 bag leaf spinach, 1 bag chopped spinach, 14 pots stewed apple, 1 large box pigeon casserole, 5 packs puff pastry (but no shortcrust ), 4 lots of blueberries, 2.5 packs prawns, 1 pot strawberry puree, 1 large gratin dauphinoise, 2 loaves spelt bread, 3 portions sliced bread, 1 pack of rolls, 1 pack of wholemeal muffins, 4 partridges, 1 mallard, 2 pheasants, 5 bags of tomatoes, 2 packs soya beans, 1 spinach & ricotta pie, 2 butternut squash pies, 1 pack sausages, 6 mini steak & kidney pies, 1 pack peas, 3 packs cream cheese, 2 packs cranberries, 3 packs smoked mackeral, 1 small tomato quiche, 1 bean and lentil stew, 7 goose breasts, 1 portion pheasant stew, 2 pots bean soup, smoked haddock, smoked salmon, salmon, 2 x pizza, 2 x ratatouille, 1 x goats cheese, 1 x smoked tofu, 1 x pasta sauce, bag mini mince pies, 1 small beef joint, 2 pots soured cream, 1 large pot celeriac & spinach soup, large pepper quiche, 2 x individual potato gratin, 1 pot black eyed beans, 1 pot chick peas, 18 pigeon breasts, and about a third of a lamb...
Need to decide what to do with it all... think I need to meal plan, and invite a few people over to help eat it!0 -

Today was my first day and I managed a level one.
Hoovered the family room and living room carpets and decluttered.
Living room not been done since Xmas Eve and had to pick off the fibres from DS's dressing gown from the carpet by hand as the hoover wouldn't pick them up. Do I get extra brownie points for emptying the hoover and for pulling off all the threads, bits of wool etc caught round the brush roller?
5 minutes after I had finished the hoovering, the kids saw all the spare space and proceded to cover it with lego, power rangers etc etc
Wondering why I bothered at the moment!£2012 in 2012 Challenge £2051.06£2013 in 2013 Challenge £500 -
I'd like to volunteer too, greenbee. Gratin dauphinoise is my absolute favourite (with pan-fried spinach in garlic and some form of poultry maybe) and I love mackerel or salmon pate, which would take care of the cream cheese.

Flippin' 'eck, I didn't know a plate of mushroom stroganoff could vanish so rapidly as the one I put in front of Mr LW..... I swear it didn't touch the sides!:rotfl:
Washing up all done, and left in the drying rack (what Mr LW's grandma would've called a "clean mess", so I'm told).;)
He's decluttering a few calories on the Wii, and I have my mini-walker machine going (apologies for any typos btw):D
Still don't know if we're going to the CAMRA branch meeting *rolleyes*. We have to go out for petrol in a bit; I have a 5p off each litre voucher for Tesco's, so will ask if I need to put any make-up on before we go and do that.;)
Must remember to get him to prep some spuds for tomorrow's Shepherd Spy, and get the BM off the top of the fridge-freezer; if I write it here, I might even remember! Headology, doncha know!;):DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
