    Hi all,

Special hugs to LL, LW, Toots, Soapie, Mudbath, Helenjelly and Shellysue.

Hugs, spoons and sticks to those in need, just help yourself.

DW on, OH off out to his mates, DS1 off to his mates...

That leaves me and three cats sitting in front of the TV, although I might declutter some LO Xmas chocs that have escaped DD.:D

    :mad:RANT ALERT:mad:

Stupid flipping Bank (begins with B) have cancelled the wrong cards. We now have no access to the only place where there is any money. 5 working days for new cards to come through.

Kids are still fighting and it is driving me crackers. AF must be due soon, I haven't seen her since I broke my hand 8 weeks ago.

    :o

Sorry, nearly forgot the rules! I have nearly emptied the ironing basket by ironing out my fury.

It was lovely too Silvermaid :)

I bought some frozen summer berries earlier and thought it would be a good idea to let them defrost so I could use them to snack on(not a big fruit fan, but going away Sat for a friends hen night so want to lose a couple of pounds by then....anyway, they went sort of mushy. I have just blitzed them in the blender with a little bit of low cal sugar and it is now a thick smoothie that I can hace a little bit a day for breakfast.

Dishes all done and surfaces wiped down :)

I would be writing a STRONGLY worded letter of complaint which included LOTS of words like 'inconvenience' and asking for, at the very least, an apology, pointing out just how long I had been a customer with them and suggesting that I may well be taking my business elsewhere;)

(My bank beginning with a C pay you if they mess up - or they used to. I've had at least two payments from them;)

Mumto5 - I was in a similar position last year. I went the branch with my cheque book, explained the situation and drew out cash. Would that work for you?

pigpen - possibly slightly misguided, but not defective - ever!

katiecat - sending coping vibes (and positie outcome vibes for your dad.

valli - how do you go about testing products? I'd be quite interested.

DS1 has gone to cricket practice with NN - I hope he apologises for the noise he made last night. DH is mooching upstairs and doesn't want any tea. Well, he can please himself. There are two pie plates (turkey&ham, blackberry&apple) and a crumble dish with blackberry and apple filling waiting for toppings and other finishing touches. DS1 won't be back until 8.30, so I'll get them ready for then. Must remember to make custard, too.

DS2 and I had a nice afternoon: plastic recycling to Mr A, a bag full of stuff to the charity shop and some bits and pieces from George (mop and bucket for me, Kung Zhu hamster and battle thing for DS2 - with his Christmas money) before visiting MIL. It's been a really gloomy day here and I'm constantly cold. Think I'll get changed in a minute into something comfy and cuddly. First it's time to feed DS2 his favourite - pitta bread filled with grated cheese, sliced cucumber and carrot slices done with the veg peeler.

I'm already looking forward to another early night. x

I have just decided on another incentive to get the house sorted: I will get another cat! DH won't be keen, but he'll live. The DSs have been asking about pets for a while, and a cat (or 2 - or even one each :D) would be best. They live long enough, don't need walks, are good company... I'll start cleaning now!

Mrs C. I was stopped, in town, many years ago by a 'clipboard' lady who also tests stuff at home and has us round for food tastings.
She asked what area I lived in and when she realised I was living close to her she asked me if I'd join her panel.
This is the second batch of household products I've tested recently for her BUT there are some threads on here - or google 'consumer panel' 'consumer testing'.
I've also done one through Valued Opnions.

Thanks, valli. I'll get food for DS2 and a coffee for me and have a look around.
