Hi all , despite not getting on very well with the flylady challenges last week I am definately back in today. I keep telling myself to be realistic, the house hasnt got in this state in a short while and its going to take some time to return it to how it should be , so will keep at the baby steps. The lounge is looking so much better now, so much so that I wouldnt be too horrified if someone turned up unexpectedly! Thanks for the lists and the support here. x

Hi everyone; I'm still breathing, so in again this week, - many thanks FCC - but going to take it very carefully after yesterday's wee scare. Many thanks to everyone who sent spoons:A – I reckon it helped lots, because I did perk up a bit by the time we left to go to the Moot.:o

It was very cold in the community hall, so I'm glad I thought to put my leg-warmers on;), but it was a very interesting talk, so worth it.

Still haven't decided about the CAMRA branch meeting tonight – it's quite possible that Mr LW cba to go, so that'd settle it.;)

Kazw many thanks for the offer;:A I think I have it all under control now – probably I'm stressing about visiting the GP on Wednesday; I have a very healthy fear of medical bods:eek: – but the thought is very much appreciated. The worst of these little episodes is that the extreme, mind-numbing, knee-crumpling fatigue strikes instantaneously, completely out of the blue – no warning at all. It's very frustrating, which is why I needed a cyber-scream yesterday:o

Lenza I don't do hugs in RL – I don't even do handshakes these days, having been on the receiving end of a couple that made me yelp in pain due to my poorly paws, - but cyber-hugs are always very welcome; thankyou.:A

Posi-vibes sound to be in order for Soappie and Greenbee

Healing vibes to Mudbath, J, Mumto5's DH, Shysarah and a giant box of tissues for all the coldy folks:o

Jinky I love the big spoon – can I have a whole set of those please?:D

Dancemum I hope the kitty turns up safely.:o

Dusty and Boddy gentle (((HUGS))) – we understand wobbles in this house; Mr LW has been having them to, re his Sis1; also he seems to need to reminisce about his parents a lot, too – his Dad passed away in the early 80s, and his Mum in Nov 2001, 2 months before I met him. They're not completely gone while they live on in your heart.:A

Mrs Chaos oh no, how maddening! How old is DS1? I reckon if that was me, I'd be calculating the price of what I had to bin, and docking it from his pocket money!;)

Miss A should I be sending “grow” vibes for W? Have a good day, whatever you do.:T

OK, I'm off for one of many 10 minute challenges today. Seems the best way to go, as things stand.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Morning all

I've done the kitchen/diner today and also damp wiped the living room/computer desk and vacuumed right through downstairs and done the stairs.

Went over to the shops and picked up DH's prescription and bought a newspaper. Read that and did the crossword;)

Tomorrow is black bin day so I'm going to dive into the under sink cupboard now and see if there is anything to chuck. Have to keep the cupboards sorted before I start packing it all up.

Thinking of soappie today, but I always do anyway. Thinking of helen and her family too.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Yep. I will....my first HHC. :) I'm going to get a head start on dining room maybe doing some extras in there (polishing etc) and maybe some utility room.

OK, I got all the ''surface'' stuff in dining room done everything resited to the rooms it was meant to be in. The forced narcissi (which came up blind :o) out in their pot to be planted somewhere.

some mail sorted, everywhere sprayed with pet odour spray, another wash on and I feel pretty happy that is someone came to the house I'd not be embarrassed!:D
  • I've done as much ironing as I intend to today :) Going to tidy round, then lunch with DD :j

    :hello:Morning (just!) flyladies!!

I've woken up coldy - typical. It's still grey, damp and uninspiring here. I may force myself to go out for a walk later, but I don't fancy gardening. I have to deliver DD over to a friend later, and will be passing my favourite nursery en route, so I think I'll need to check up on their latest stock, and buy some really bright primulas for the tubs that never got planted last autumn.

I will be flying this week, but possibly in a different order. My new vacuum is being delivered tomorrow, so I shall postpone the living room until then. I have been doing mini blitzes in the bedroom though. I don't feel very enthusiastic, so more like 15 minute challenges. I've gone through all the drawers and chucked out all the bobbly jumpers, saggy grey t-shirts and sad linen trousers.

I now have about three things left to wear.:p:rotfl:

I've also removed a bag of the teens' discards - why does everything end up in my room???

Now to tackle the hard-core hotspot in the corner - the things that I want to keep, but really don't know where to put. I will get this bit sorted!

Miss A - I hope you all have a lovely time today. Hugs to you all!!

boddy and dusty - hugs for you too. Just wallops you in the face quite out of the blue doesn't it?

:hello:Special 'happy halfterm' wave for all the teachers on the thread!!

    Love and hugs.

Sorry I didn't announce the HHC - I got distracted as I checked my sent emails and discovered that another one of those dodgy emails has been sent on Sunday. I've now changed my password and security question for my emails, so hopefully this will stop a repeat happening.

I'm off to hoover the living room and put a load of washing on now.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

    Thanks, Miss Higgerty.

I sorted the kiddizoom, washed a few pots by hand and got myself ready. I need to go to the shops quickly before DH is home for lunch, as we're out of milk. Then lunch and we'll see after that.

ETA Thanks, LW. He's 16 and may well be working it off this week, Dobby-fashion. I reckon I'll gain more from thaving a house elf then from saving a bit of money.
