So far...located paperwork for van as we're selling it.

Dumped one knackered chair and a cupboard and brought the sofa bed (for the van originally) into the house, currently sat on it...it's erm...very firm.

Ditched a cupboard full of crapola, hoovered front room and hallway.

Thrown non working tv remote and other junk. Got skyplus remote from morrissons the other day and its lovely to use, everything works instead of having to wave it around like a madwoman.

Located 3 small notebooks, 3 large notebooks and a filofax and spare diary...I'll choose one for my spending diary....note to self...don't buy any more notebooks.

Really wish I didn't have to go to work this week, too much to do and work is very stressful at mo...ah well, I have a day off and leiu time (ha) whether I get that is another matter.

Off to sort tea, hungry and want something yum.

    Afternoon all

I've hokey-cokeyed the washing and given up now, it's on the radiators.

Cooked roast dinner for us and both DDs. All cleared away. Went to Morrisons with DD2 and it was heaving with people! Horrid. But I got a new roasting tin with rack for £2.50. Something else for my stash of new kitchen stuff.

    Hope everyone's OK.

Have only just put washing out and it starts to rain so back in again. I dont care how sunny it becomes it is not going back out.

Have taken dog for a walk and done some cross stitch today so quite a relaxing day really.

Have friend coming round next Friday and for once I dont feel that I shall have to spend hours cleaning before she comes, its a good feeling and thanks to this thread.

see you all on new thread

    Hugs

    List for today:
laundry - on with this now, all collated and sorted, WM and TD on
    HW with DS2
    school work
    cook tea
    sort bags (DS2's and mine)
budget (if time, NOT an excuse to avoid school work!)
    [STRIKE]bath[/STRIKE]

I made jacket spuds for lunch, but the halogen oven wasn't as quick as I thought. They were nice, though, and I had a salad to go with it, too. 4 spuds left to freeze, as DS2 didn't want one.
I don't know where the afternoon has gone. Part of it went on ferrying DS1 and friend around, and I went for diesel as well (thanks for the reminder - can't remember who it was), £1.33 already.
Little cat has been for some afternoon milk. I'll have a go at posting a picture when I've worked out how to do it.

Another half hour or so and I'll stick the chicken in the oven. Not sure I can fit some potatoes in with it, but I'll try. DS2 needs to come out of the bath now and then I'll have another tea, I think, to wake up.
I know I'm avoiding work when I'm considering another HHI! :o Or a nap.

Hello all, Back from Bath and the washing machine is on and I've put clean covers on DD's bed.
Really tired though so going to chill for a while.
1 Question though....one of the girls on the weekend spilled half a pint of lager on the bed and it soaked part of the mattress....will they charge for cleaning it? TIA xx

Chicken noodle soup sounds lovely (especially as there's a chook cooking at the moment). Do you have a recipe? Thanks.

Managed to get downstairs done and it's looking lovely now. Even got the floors washed. Slow cooked 4 partridges with apples and bacon, roasted sweet potatoes, potatoes and parsnips, steamed carrots, butternut squash, broccoli and carrots. Made a fig, almond and chocolate cake. Friends who were due to come for tea arrived at 12 so stayed for lunch which was nice. Went for a short walk in the rain, and last people didn't leave till 4.30. Annoyingly it was lovely when I was doing inside stuff earlier, but that's one of those things.

Kitchen is cleared and the first batch of stuff is in the DW. Logs are in and more are in the utility room with the dehumidifier on and a few more in tune shed but its too wet to bring in more or chop kindling soni may have to burn coal for a bit. I need to work my way through my stocks of fuel in case I move!

Fire is going, so when I've defrosted I need to get some washing on, put some clean stuff away and put clean bedding on. Trying to think ehwt I can usefully do in the sitting room, without making a mess, so I can avoid putting the heating on. I may have to watch a DVD and have a break. Or do some work in case it's sunny sometime this week and I need to get out in the garden!
